FOREVER?

Thousands are Assuming.

Millions are Bitter.

FOREVER is just a word.

But it still defines a period of time.

With their love one.

I thought that this is the time that I will have that

FOREVER, but I was wrong..this time.

"Hi babe! Happy 2nd anniversary. I can't believe it! We've been through a lot and yet we're still together. Come on, our friends are waiting for us. We should celeb--"

"Sasha, let's not do this. Darn it!" Miggy stepped away from me.

I looked at him in confusion. I'd gone to the dorm where he stay as soon as I'd gotten his text. He'd kissed me when I arrived, but this time, it felt different and he gazed at me apologetically.

I stared at him, not sure what I was hearing. "Say that again?"

"Let's stop this. Let's break up."

I laughed and held his hand. "Stop kidding around babe. Come on, Kent's waiting for us."

Miggy pulled away, looking angry and frustrated. "I'm not kidding Sasha. I said let's end this relationship. What part of that isn't clear to you?"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Why Miggy? Why are you doing this?"

"I'm a guy Sasha and I'm going to college. That's how things work."

I opened my eyes. "Well that's just stupid. We've been happy the whole year we've been together."

"I have my needs Sasha! I don't think I can balance college life and our relationship. And I might fall in love with someone else."

"I'm going to the same college when I'm done in my 4 years here in Southwest High! You know what? You're not the Miggy Adrian Sanchez that I knew and loved."

He grinned at me. "Maybe you never knew me at all."

We stared at each other for a minute. I don't know what was going through his mind but the memories of our past year were racing to my mind. Was this really for us?

My phone rang, breaking the silence. I rejected the call and turned back to Miggy. "So this is it? Fuck you and your timing, doing this on the day of our 2nd anniversary."

"It's exactly the right moment, Sasha. I'm ending our relationship." Then he walked out the door.

And that was that.

So much for fairytale.
