Chapter 12

"Finally!" Raph shouted as he got to cut the rope.

"I think we need to give up on Mikey." Donnie said sadly.

"No way! There is no way in hell I'm gonna give up on my little brother!" Raph protested rather rudely.

"Donnie's right Raph. Mikey's changed. There's nothing we can do anymore." Leo tried reasoning with Raph.

"You guys know this is our fault right?" Raph asked.

Donnie and Leo stayed silent. Not knowing what to say.

"Isn't our job to fix our mistakes?" Raph asked once again but this time it was only a whisper.

Leo sighed and put his hand on Raph's shoulder.

"Let's do it." Leo agreed.

He glanced over Donnie. "We need to find that dummy."

Donnie nodded and ran to his lab.

With Mikey

"Where's Elena?" Mikey asked impatiently.

"Oh look. Romeo is worried about his Juliet." Jess teased.

"NO I'M NOT!" Mikey protested.

"💬💬💬💬" Andrei said as he rolled his eyes.

"Uh... What did he say?" Mikey asked Jess.

"He said, 'you're just in denial bruh.' And of course I had to agree with that." Jess said as she smirked.

Mikey rolled his eyes. "Elena mention something about dead cow and grass thing."

Jess sighed. "Well, she likes those kind of stuff. What's the use of the grass if the cow is already dead. I haven't figure it out myself but I think I'm getting there."

"Help me figure out what it means." Mikey begged.

"How about this. Go back to your REAL self Mike. Stop acting, you're not Robin Williams. No more lies. Go back to your family." Jess said seriously.

"Oh come on! I asked for your help to help me figure out what this damn proverb means and your just going to give me this sh--"

"ALRIGHT! SHUT IT MIKEY! JUST SHUT UP! Do you know how selfish you sound right now? I am helping you to be the Mikey they once knew and not the Mikey they thought they knew! I regret making this plan alright! I never really thought it would create this kind of damage! I never wanted this! All I want is to save your dumb butt from your... Gah!" Jess cut herself off with her own scream.

"I-I only wanted to fix the damage of what my decision had caused." She said as she calmed down.

Mikey sighed and hugged her best friend. Mikey knows that whenever she acts like this only hugs can comfort her.

"Okay Jess. What did you do?" Mikey said, his arms still around her.

"Maybe I shouldn't have changed the past." Jess said just barely a whisper.

Mikey's eyes widened when he heard this but he just closed his eyes and hugged her tighter. Jess started to cry.

"I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry." She whispered as she continued to sob.

"What exactly did you changed?" Mikey asked.

"I killed that messenger." She mumbled.

Mikey chuckled. "You killed the messenger so I wouldn't get the message but you didn't kill the witch who made the necklace?"
