Yeah of course I was going to do it, right, cause I mean we had a dare, but what if I just you know chicken out, than all of them would just see me as a loser. I walked up to his house and knocked on the door, at first there was no noise, my heart rate was slowing down, I swore if it weren’t for my friends standing behind me I would have fainted. I turned to leave but then someone opened the door, thank goodness it was his mother, gosh I was so scared!!
“Ah Kate how nice to see you, are you looking for Bryan?” she asked and I nodded blushing, she smiled and looked behind her
“Bryan Kate’s here to see you!” she exclaimed and I heard a bang. I silently laughed and looked back up to see that Bryan came to the door smiling and I blushed even more,
“Hey Kate, what’s up?” he asked and I was speechless. Come on Kate you drove all the way here why don’t you just do it.
“Um... well… it’s about the dance on Thursday. I was wondering… if- he started laughing which made me blush even more.
“What makes you think a hot guy like me would go out with a dweeb like you?” he said. A sigh of relief went through me and I smiled
“Are you serious? That’s great!” I exclaimed and turned to leave
“Wait, you drove all the way over here to ask me out only hoping for me to say no?” he asked and I rolled my eyes
“I only came here because of a dare, and someone already asked me” I said and he looked hurt
“Do you really hate me that much?” he asked and I sighed
“I never even liked you, I only talked to because of Brittney, she said that we would be perfect together, and I didn’t want her to get angry with me, so I agreed with everything she said” I added and he smiled
“What if I would have said yes?” he asked and I laughed
“It’s not like you would have stayed with me anyway, you would have probably left me to hook up with some other girl” I said and he nodded
“That might have happened, but then again, it would have depended on what you were wearing” he said looking me and up and down, and the smile on his face grew bigger.
“Whatever, I think I have been standing here too long so goodbye” I said and turned around, or at least tried to, but he grabbed my wrist and turned me back to him,
“Now what do you want?” I asked and he sighed
“Stop with the act, I know your upset with the fact that I said no” he stated and I smiled
“You don’t understand how happy I am right now this dance might actually be fun, without you” I said and he looked shocked
“Goodnight Bryan” I said and put my hand on his shoulders “No hard feelings right? I hope that... Well I can’t hope for anything because I know after today we won’t have to speak to each other” I said and he smiled
“You know what I change my mind, I wane go with you the dance” he said and I dropped my hand from his shoulder
“No thanks” I said and walked away from him. When I got back into the car, Brittney was the first person to talk
“What did he say?” she asked
“He said no” I shrugged and she cocked her head to the side
“Than what was that scene with you touching his shoulder?” she asked, man she’s good! Geesh!!! I didn’t even though they were paying attention
