My High-Pitched Neighbour

In Sehun's Point Of View

"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh"
The high-pitched scream of the new neighbour woke me up from my incomplete sleep. "Ugh" I growled out of anger. The girl screamed again and I put my head under a few pillows to avoid that voice. "I am gonna kill this girl." I made the promise before drifting off to sleep again.

Not soon after that Kai woke me up by telling me to bring a book for Suho.

"You bring it for him." I said. "I can't !! I am going to meet my sister !" Kai replied. "Are the other members dead ?" I asked him. "They are all busy ! And don't you remember ? You are supposed to return your comic too ! So go !" Kai reminded me. "FINE !!!" I half shouted at him.

After staying in the bed for few more minutes, I woke up. After waking up, I found the whole dorm empty. I found a sticky note that told me to return the books and comics.

After getting ready, I went to the library to return them.

"Seriously ? Suho should stop reading this boring book ! I mean who reads Harry Potter ? Watching the movie is so much fun but no Mr.Suho wants to read it !" I talked to myself for a few more minutes while searching for the book that Suho asked me to get him.

"Yehet ! Found it !" I pulled the book from the shelf when someone from the opposite side did that too, letting me have a glimpse at the person.

It was a girl. I could not see her properly. I could only see her eyes which seemed to be hidden behind a pair of glasses. Somehow I got the urge to meet her. I went running to find the girl and finally I found her reading the back side of a book with a serious look on her face.

She was wearing glasses and her hair was open. She was wearing a blue shirt with black tights. She had this small bag pack on her side. She had this cool-nerd type of look wearing those glasses and seemed to be paying too much attention to the book.

Suddenly, the girl looked towards me. I got a bit nervous as to why was she looking at me, hopping that she did not catch me staring at her. She started taking her steps towards me.

"Is she planning to slap me ? But I did not even start to flirt with her ! Oh God ! Save me !"

When she was a step away from me, I closed my eyes, praying for the last time. Then I opened my eyes and.......she vanished. But she was right here. Then I turned to look for her only to find her trying to reach for a book. She was pretty tall yet she could not reach that book.

I took this as a chance ! I went and took out the book for her. I looked at her and handed it.

She gave me a smile and said, "Thanks ! I feel so short for not reaching ! But thanks for helping me !"
"Ah ! No problem !" Eh ! What a lame reply. I am usually so cool but what happened to me ? God knows !

Suddenly, the girl looked at my hand. Scanning the books I was holding. I had Suho's boring book and my awesome comics in my hand. I was hoping she would turn out to be a comic fan.

I was wrong.........................

"You are a Harry Potter fan too ?" She asked. Crap! What should I say ? "Um.....yeah ! It's a pretty awesome book to read !" I lied. I freaking lied to her. Suddenly she had this disgusting look. "Do you read comics ?" She asked. "But they are so boring !" She said.

I hated my life..........How could someone not like comic ? She seemed to be Suho's type but I liked her.

"Um...no ! This is for my friend !" I lied again. CRAP !!!

"By the way, my name is Taha !" She held out her hand. "Oh ! My name is Sehun !" Ohorat ! I over-came my lisp problem. Thank God ! I reached for her hand and shook it.

God ! Her hands were full of bracelets and wrist bands. She seemed to be into J-Rock. I knew it ! Her appearance said she is awesome.

"So, do you come here everyday ?" I asked. "Pretty much.....yeah ! Cause I love books way to much !"
"Oh ! Yeah ! Books are pretty......awesome ! I mean they are man's best companion." She nodded in agreement.

"You seem to be a bookworm like me ? Seems like we can be good friends ! So, see you tomorrow at this time ?"

I am speechless.......she wants to meet me.
"Yeah ! Sure ! So see you Taha !" I said. "See you Sehun !" She said and left.

Next day, I found myself waiting for Taha at the library at the exact time. There, she came ! We started a conversation about books and the questions I was afraid of were asked.

"So, did you read the series of percy Jackson ?" she asked. Thanks to Kai, because of him I watched the movies, and then it was just a few weeks ago that we watched. "Yeah ! That's a really awesome m-m-mo I mean book !"
"Uh ! Honestly ! Harry Potter is better than Percy Jackson !" Shoot ! I went to the wrong direction !

"I meant Percy Jackson is awesome but not like Harry Potter !" How much do i even have to lie to this girl ?

So days went by, we met almost everyday and because of her I tried reading a few books but I failed badly and so I gave up reading them. i returned back to my comics.

Suddenly, one day I got a parcel. I was a bit confused then I checked that it belonged to our neighbour. Oh no ! I forgot to kill this neighbour. I thought of complaining to them while taking it to them.

I rang the bell and when the door was opened, I was like, "What the .......hell ?"

"What ?" Taha said.
"Uh ! Nothing ! Like wait ! You live here ?" I asked. "Yeah !" Taha replied. So she was my high-pitched neighbour ? And I was going to curse her ? No way !

I gave her the parcel and explained how it went to me by mistake since I lived next door.

Then, after a few days, it was Taha's birthday. I knew what to gift her. Books ! I bought a book for her and wrapped it with a note inside the book.

I gave it to her and then asked her to open it after I left. There in the note I wrote :

'Happy Birthday Taha ! I hope you live a hundred years ! Well...I want to say something. I actually like you. I don't know if you like me or not but just to let you know and I have more to say. I am actually a comic lover not a book worm. I am sorry that I lied to you but I will tell you the truth. My friend, Suho, is a book worm not me.
I don't know what else to say after this but if you like me too then meet me at the restaurant beside the library to have bubble tea with me and also....scream if it's a yes !

At first I thought she would not scream because of my lie but then......

"Aaaaaaahhhhhhh"

I heard it. YEHET ! So it was a yes. Yes ! Ohorat ! Knew it ! No one could ever resist me ! But seriously......must say her high-pitched scream could make me a deaf.

Tomorrow I should tell her not to scream SO loudly. But I bet she would look cute when she screams.
