Gabrielle pov:
Platform 9 3/4. Not visible to the muggle eye, opened up yet again for the young wizards and witches to board The Hogwarts Express for another eventful year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry.
Kings Cross station, like every year, was bustling with many muggle commuters, trying to get to work or to other places they needed to get to. They were to interested in their own business to even notice the family of vibrant red heads running towards a wall which was infact, the entrance to platform 9 3/4. One of the Red heads was actually one of my bestriends, his name was Ron Weasley, we had known each other from the first ever journey to hogwarts in year one. It was now year 7 and we have been friends ever since.
I slowly walked up to the wall with my parents strolling behind me, i froze, i was scared. Too scared to go back, We all knew you-know-who was back, we've known it for a long time, but this year, he was planning out an attack on Hogwarts and i did not have the slightest clue on how to help. But, i had to be brave and face my fears of the dark lord because it wasn't going to end if we only had minimal help.
I took a deep breath, stared at the wall and then ran straight towards it.
WIzards and witches were everywhere, even some muggles were here saying there goodbyes to there children.
I turned to face my parents to say goodbye to them, but then someone caught my eye.
Hermoine.
"GABBY!" she shouted as she ran over to me with a huge grin on her face. Hermoine along with Ron and Harry were my best friends. Hermoine was muggle born, that didn't go down well with some of the students at Hogwarts, especially Draco Malfoy, who was now a Death Eater. He liked to call her by the disrespectful name of "Mud-blood"
"Hermoine, how are you? Where's the others?" I asked looking around for Harry and Ron.
"Harry's over there, talking to Luna and Neville and Ron, god knows." she said laughing as i joined in.
I carried on talking to Hermoine about our summers and what we got up to, i was just about to board the train when i heard familiar voices coming from behind me.
"George i'm telling you, even though we are no longer students in Hogwarts it's still gonna be the best year yet!"
"But Fred, we haven't finished the apperance potion, we were meant to start selling them next wee-"
I cut off George speaking as i leapt of the train and landed in front of the two red-haired twins. As soon as they saw me they both pulled me into a tight hug. Oh, how i've missed these boys. George and Fred were like brothers to me, they may be protective over me but they still let me join in on their fun.
"Gabby, you've grown, not so small now are you?" said Fred winking at me. I punched him in the arm playfully. I pulled them both onto the carriage and walked over to the nearest window too see my mother and father with Arthur and Molly waving at us. i waved back as i saw my mother cry into her hands, i hated to see her so upset that i had to leave, but it was for the best and we had to stop you-know-who from hurting or worse killing them.
We walked along the corridor until we found the carriage that was occupied by Harry, Ron, Hermoine, Neville, Luna and Ginny. We walked in and was greeted by them all.
"Gabby, i've missed you, how was your holidays? Mine was great I spent it with my father and Neville, we de-gnomed the garden nearly every day!" said Luna a little too over excited, however Neville didn't look as happy as he rolled his eyes in my direction and i laughed.
"It was great thanks Luna, i missed you guys though." Everyone nodded in agreement, except Ron and Harry who were to busy staring outside the window.
"What's wrong with them?" I asked Neville. He shrugged as Harry turned round and looked at me his eyes empty, no emotions showing.
"Hello Gabby, i didn't see you there." He said smiling, the emptiness had gone and it was replaced with hapiness. Ron had soon turned around aswell and we were all in deep conversations.

The feast had already started, the first years had been sorted and snape had done a speech, Hogwarts wasn't the same without Dumbledore, he died last year after being killed by Snape. Hogwarts was now a dark place and people did not enjoy it, except Slytherin. I was half way through eating when i heard the large doors open, i turned round to see Malfoy strutting through the Great Hall.
"What are you looking at Smith?" he asked sneering at me. I turned back to my food and continued to eat. I looked up to see george smiling at me sympathetically. He stoop up and offered me his hand, i took it and we made our way out of the Hall.

"Are you scared, you know about the attack?" george asked as we walked around the lake.
"Yes, but we have to be brave so we can beat Him." i said smiling nervously.
"Promise me Gabby you won't do anything foolish. Don't try and be the heroine." i laughed and nodded at him.
Suddenly people were running out of the school screaming teachers trying to get them to calm down and failing miserably.
I looked at George, he grabbed my hand and we ran into the building to find out what all the drama was about.
