3- Friends and Foes

*At School (the next day)*

"Oh my god! Are you serious!?" squealed Shoniku, leaping up and down like the hyper little madwoman she is.

"Sean Adams KISSED YOU?!?!"

"Yep", I said, trying (and failing) to act nonchalant.

"That's AMAZING!!!! " shrieked Tash, " I can't believe how lucky you are! "

"I'd do anything for a kiss from that face... "sighed Charlotte wistfully.

"I think we ALL would, " giggled Tash.

"Hell yeahh!! " said Shoniku.

The whistle blew and we all groaned in unison.

"I swear these lunchtimes are getting shorter!! " whined Lottie (A/N nickname for Charlotte).

"Come on, " Tash urged us, "if we're late for maths, Miss Grapine will murder us! You'll have to tell us all about your hot date later, Mia... "

"Oh don't you worry, Tash!
I will! " I said winking.

"Well, come on then!!! I DON'T want to get detention after school, when I should be hearing all about Sean Adams gorgeous lips... "

"Ok, ok, we're coming! " we screeched at Tash, shrieking with laughter as we hurried across the school field.

We walk fast when the alternative is a 3 o clock detention with our strict asf year leader!

*Later that day*

As I opened my locker and stuffed my maths, science and French books into it's metal depths, I felt two firm hands sneak round in front of my eyes and a deep, rumbly voice murmur "Guess who?"

I gasped and spun round. "Sean?!?"

"Who else?" he laughed easily, dragging his hand across his forehead as his ruffled hair fell across his deep blue eyes.

"I...ummm...uhh", I stammered, distracted from my thoughts as my brain focussed on that slow, deliberate move.

Closing the space between us in a single step, he cut off my feeble attempts at a response by pressing his soft lips against mine.

Well there were no complaints from me!

As he lengthened the kiss, I remembered I was standing in the middle of a crowded hallway, and pulled away slightly out of breath.

As I looked away in embarrassment, I noticed Sean's ex, Roxanna Cherstski standing next to the locker assigned to her best friend, Brianna Price, looking at me with such an intense look of resentment that I physically winced from the searing heat that appeared to burn me from this one gaze.

Sean though, seeming to have noticed nothing, gave me one last knee melting kiss, before sloping off to football practice.

When I looked back, at where Roxanna had been standing, the place was completely empty. The only remnants of that scorching look, an uneasy feeling in my tummy.
