Wednesday morning, 7:00am. It was not as bright and cheerful of a day as it should have been. It was slightly cloudy and the lighting was bleak and grey. A gentle breeze was blowing through, one that simply went right through you, filling you with nothing but icy bitterness. It was definitely not a day anyone would like to go outside, it was a day most would prefer to simply lie in bed and snuggle up with a blanket. It was however a public holiday, no one at school and no one at uni. However since it was the middle of the week Hannah could not help but wake up early. As she went through her morning routine and came to the point where she'd normally start getting ready for school, she instead hopped on her computer to see if she could spend the day online with friends. Unsurprisingly Ali was already online and so she messaged him asking if he would like to play a game of League with her. He replied asking "Sure, u wanna inv Josh n Donya 2?"
"Sure, why they awake now? Its holiday"
"Could say the same bout u."
"True." After a couple games the Patrick also had finally awaken. By this time it was about 10:30. They invited Patrick to the game and the call. They played until 12:30, they laughed, they made jokes, they flamed each other a bit but they had fun. Once 12:30 hit Ali, Josh and Donya had to leave. Ali had religious things, Josh had to go to his job and Donya had to please her excessively strict parents and do some homework for a while.
Now it was only Patrick and Hannah. Hannah felt like maybe this could be her moment to ask all the questions she had for Patrick and Tiffany. She was conflicted about whether to ask or if it would seem rude or inappropriate. Instead she simply played a few games with him. These games proved to be some of the most fun games she'd play. Even though they lost most of the games it didn't matter to her. There was just something about playing with Patrick that made it fun, even though they lost so many of them. The time soon reached 2:30pm and none of the other group members had returned. Hannah seized this opportunity to ask Patrick about his relationship. "So Patrick... how is things between you and tiffany?" Even over a skype call the confusion in Patrick's voice was noticeable as he replied, "eh. It's not bad. Why you asking, not that I don't want you too just wondering why like genuinely curious." She took a moment to think of how she should respond to this, "Well~ like on Saturday when she left you didn't seem all that impressed when she said she had to leave and again on Sunday after the movie when she left."
"Yeah well...I don' know it's like... can I be serious for a bit like tell you the truth." Hannah lit up when Patrick said this, her eyes wide open, open jawed smile from ear to ear. This was the moment. She had no idea why she was so curious but hopefully this would curb that curiosity. She replied, "Of cause you can, you can tell me anything I'm here to listen. We're friends after all right?"
"Right yeah. Well like at the park when she said she had to help a friend with an assignment. There's no way that could be true."
"Hm? Why's that?"
"Well not to be rude or anything but Tiffany is an idiot. Like she's actually like really dumb. Like she barely passes her subjects if she does pass at all.""Ok so what does that mean?" Hannah asked very confused but also thinking that she may not want to know the answer. Answered her question and said, "I don't know but she basically didn't want to be with us or she wanted to be somewhere else other than with us." Hannah replied in confused frustration "But she's your girlfriend! You're her boyfriend! Why would she want to be with anyone else or be any were without you?!"
"I don't know but it was the same case on Sunday to. I know she didn't go to work. She told me she cancelled work that day and when I went to her work she wasn't there. I don't what's going on but it seems she'd rather not be with me." Patrick said with a slight hint of sorrow in his voice. Hannah replied, "Aww~ don't say that. I'm sure it's not that. You're such a cool guy I mean who wouldn't want to be with you? I'm sure she just has things to do or something. I mean she'd be really stupid if she didn't want to be with you." Patrick had a short giggle at this and sounded slightly lifted as he asked, "Thanks, you think so?"
