The Boy with a Heart of Gold

*Green's POV*
My name is Green Oak. I'm eighteen. I'm gym leader of Viridian city. And I lost my Best Friend Two years ago.
   She sacrificed herself alongside Ruby, so all of the other Dex Holders would be safe including her brother Red, great friend Yellow, and me. We lost her during the most dangerous and brutal team battle in history. They both were as close to family as it came to all of us. My couldn't face it back then and I still haven't completely come to terms with it. I can't here there names without being brought back to that day. Sapphire and I stayed separated from everyone else for 8 months before we returned to everyone and went back to our lives before everything happened. Otherwise life was good. I was an undefeated gym leader, I have amazing Pokemon, I have Sapphire, Red , and Yellow plus all the other Dex holders, and all the books I could ask for. Yet something was missing ever since that day Two years ago.
   I missed her. The girl who made me should always make me smile even during the darkest of times. The girl who gave me all the confidence and will in the world. She was always there by my side. She was never afraid to stand up for me, to defend me, to support me, to protect me. I was never afraid to be myself in front of her. She knew everything about me and I knew everything about her from being the first to know about her Aura, the only that knew about her Panic attacks, and the first to know of her terrifying phobia of Moltres. She was always the one to pick up the broken pieces of my life. She was my Soul of Silver in my life. She was my Best Friend.
   Her name was Blue.
   The only girl I had ever loved and I lost her that day and I could never forget her.
   For she was my world, my heart, my Soul of Silver.
   Blue is my home for with her I will always be myself.

"Come on you two we should all do something today." Red says trying to convince us.
"I'll pass." Sapphire says.
"Same here." I agree.
"Come on you two you can't just sit around on this day for the rest of your life's. We should celebrate, the teams were destroyed." Red says as Yellow trying to calm him down. "We should be celebrating them. They saved us. They risked their lives for us. We can't just sit here thinking about every thing that went wrong. We need to do something today to prove that we still cherish the memories we had with them. That we still love them. We can't just forget about Blue and Ruby." Red shouts the last part both Sapphire and I flinching at the mentions of their names.
   There was a knock at the door and Red left to answer it.
"You know he is right. We can't just forget about them. It was hard on all of us. Red is just angry because he feels like you are trying to forget all the great memories. He doesn't want to forget his sister and one of his best friends, he doesn't want you two to forget either." Yellow says as Red walks back in with a letter in his hand.
   He tore it open and starts to read it, "Dear Dex Holders you are required to attend a party tonight at the house on the outskirts of Viridian at 8 o'clock. Please look your best and enjoy the party."
"Well then come on we have to get ready then." Yellow says. "Sapphire let's go."
"Oh no. No dress."
"Sorry Saph it says look your best and it's addresses to the Dex Holders so it's official."
"Come on let's to get ready." Red says as we walk down the long hallways to our rooms. "I'm sorry about yelling back there but sometimes I just think that everyone is going to forget them and I'm not ready to lose my little sister just yet and he was like an Brother to her. I just don't want there to be a day when I forget them."
"I know what you mean. It's hard. Something you don't want to face head on. One day we'll come to terms with it, but for now all we can do is have hope."

*Flashback*

We where fighting Team Rocket, Team Magma, and Team Aqua. They had all banded together hoping to take over the world.
"We have to get to the boss headquarter." Red shouts.
"Come on we have to hurry." Black yells.
"No, stop." Blue shouts.
Blue and Ruby walk out in front of all of us.
"We're sorry but we can't let you guys do this." Ruby responds.
"We can't just let them take over." White says.
"Exactly. We aren't going to." Ruby replies motioning to himself and Blue.
"We need all of you safe. You mean the world to us." Blue's eyes lock on mine as she speaks. "I'm sorry but it's for your own good."
   I see a twist of sadness in her eyes as she create a blue dome around us before we can react. Ruby and Blue were the only Dex Holder not concealed in the unbreakable protective dome. All of us were looking at them with looks of fear and confusion.
"Don't do this you two. We can help." Yellow shouts.
"No you can't, not if you come with us. You're helping us if you stay here safe." Blue responds.
'What are they doing.'
"Ruby don't do it. You can't do this alone. Please Ruby let us help you." Sapphire says pleadingly.
"I'm sorry Saph. You just have to trust us." Ruby responds his voice cracking at the end.
"Blue don't do this. I can't let you do this. You guys won't make it out alive. Blue please just let us help you." I plead my best friend.
"I'm sorry I can't. We might not come back, but all of you will be safe and that's all that matter. You'll be safe." She mutters the last part so only I can hear it. She turns towards Ruby, "Ready?"
"Yeah." He responds.
'No this can't be happening.'
"We'll never forget any of you. We love you all." They both say and then start running the other way, towards headquarters.
   Everyone starts calling out there names and banging in the Aura barrier. I shrink down next to Sapphire on the ground.
"This can't be happening." Sapphire mutters.
"I don't know what is going on out there but we got to have hope." I say to her.
"Thanks Green." My sister-like friend says squeezing my shoulder.
"All of you stop." I say standing up, getting the Dex Holders attention. "Your just hurting her. Everytime you bang on something made of her Aura she feels it. She feels it like it's happening to her at that moment."
   All of us are silent until we suddenly hear an explosion. We all look towards the way if the headquarters building and sure enough the building has gone up in smoke.
   The Aura shield slowly starts to fade.
    Red collapses to the ground, "No this can't be happening."
"What's going on?" Crystal asks.
   I lose my balance and collapse to the ground. "She's gone."
