Chapter 1

Daisy's P.O.V

I plopped down onto the same old seat on the back of the bus. It smelled like puke and desperation. I put my feet up against all of the other chairs.  The shouting from the other people on the bus made it really relaxing. I put in my headphones. And closed my eyes and just felt like I was at home in a weird way.

I felt something tap me. It was a boy about my age, tall has blond and nice eyes. I took off my headphones.

"Um do you mind moving your feet so I can sit there."he said brushing back his hair.
"Yes, I mind."
"Hey kid, the bus isn't going to move until you sit down so find a seat.", the bus driver shouted.

I moved my feet and put on a fake smile.

"Hey you know there weren't any other seats left, if there was I wouldn't have bothered you.", he said. "Uh ok yeah whatever, I don't think we met the right way, I'm daisy."I said he was being nice so I should try being nice to him.  "Like the flower?",he said is this kid that stupid.  "No, like the tree, yes like the flower", I said sarcastically.

"I'm River", he said.  "Original", I said nodding.  "Uh so what year are you in", he asked.  "11th I'm a junior, and I live for graduation.", the only thing I want more in life then a kiss from Ryan Gosling is to graduate out of hell. 

"I'm a junior too".  "I'm new I came from California."he said.  "I was the new kid last year, I came New York".i said.

For some reason we stopped talking for the whole bus ride. But I was ok with it he was probably just nervous. The bus slammed the breaks. That's my stop.  George W. High School. I got up before him and walked to the front of the bus he followed behind me.

We both stepped out of the bus.  I started walking towards the main entrance but he just stood there. "Well are you coming or what", I shouted at him. He ran towards me," sorry about that and about stopping our conversation on the bus I just nervous for school.", he said. I knew it.

We walked up the main entrance stairs, to the door. "Oh one more thing, Welcome to Ohio."
