Overdue (Stevie & Ally)

Chapter 3

(Stevie's POV)

As I walk out of the room, us kissing just kept replaying over and over in my head. Why did I just let her? And why did I go with it? More importantly, do I like my best friend? As I'm thinking these thoughts, I crash into someone. She trips and so do I, and I quickly help her up. I say,"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I didn't see where I was going and -." Oh shit. It was Torey. She recognizes me and she quickly says,"It's fine, don't worry about it." She then walks past me down the hall to the stairs. I wonder what she was here for, and should I tell Ally? I shake away what just happened and I walk into the waiting room. I started laughing but then quieted myself because of the other people in the room. They all fell asleep in the chairs or on the floor. I first took a picture and then walked over there. I crouched in front of them and kind of shouted,"Up and at em'! Ally is awake!" They all moaned and slowly got up. Danny says,"What time is it?" Courtney checks her watch and says,"Its 2:55 AM." Moonshine gets up and stretches, but hitting Ali in the face with her arm. I laugh and say,"Come on you guys, she's awake!" Amanda says,"We aren't." Shannon and Cammie are in the corner still sleeping, and I go over and wake them up. Chrissy wakes up Steph and Taylor also. We all go to the bathroom and walk to her room. I say as we are walking,"I saw Torey." Everyone stops and just stands there. Bria says,"What was she doing here?" I turn around and say,"I'm not sure. Come on guys, I'll talk about it later." We then continue to walk towards Ally's room when I hear a women talking. "I'll see if I can find your friends." She then walks outside of the room and sees us. She says,"Are you Ally Hill's friends?" I say,"Yes, we all are." She smiles and says,"Go ahead in, but please keep quiet for the patients sleeping." We begin to walk towards the room and the nurse stops me, but everyone goes inside the room comforting Ally. She whispers,"Stevie right?" I say,"Yeah, that's me why?" She says,"A girl named Torey wants to talk to you, she asked for me to get you." I say,"Where is she?" The nurse then smiles and says,"Follow me." I glance back into the room and I say,"I'll be right back guys." They don't even seem to notice me because they are talking to Ally, but Moonshine nods her head. I follow the nurse, and we go to the stairs, Torey is sitting there. The nurse says,"I'll leave you two alone to talk." She smiles and walks back to the lobby. I look at Torey not really knowing what to say.

(Torey's POV)

Stevie finally shows up behind the nurse, and I know this is probably really weird for her. The nurse says,"I'll leave you two alone to talk." She smiles and walks back to the main room. Stevie stares at me, and I feel anger from it. I say,"You are probably wondering why I asked you to come over here." She nods her head, not saying anything. I say,"I heard what happened to Ally, I... just wanted to make sure she was okay. They won't let me see her. How is she?" Stevie says nothing at first but then says,"She's doing okay. Why are you here really?" I swallow hard, and that's a question I don't really want to answer. I say,"I still care for Ally..." Stevie rolls her eyes and says,"You left her months ago, just to go back home. I've heard all the stories and I've seen you a few times before you left." I say,"I'm aware of what I did okay? I know what I did was horrible, and I feel horrible about doing it. I came back for her, but also for school." Stevie sits down on the chair at the end of the hallway and sighs. She says,"So you came back for unfinished love, and you still think Ally loves you?" I sigh and say,"Yes." Stevie laughs and says,"Well, you are just full of surprises huh? You think I'm going to let you hurt Ally more?" I say,"I'm not going to do anything now, but I'm not letting you get in the way. I still love her, and I know she still loves me too." I say those last few words on the edge of crying, because I still hope its true. Stevie scoffs and says,"You just have to make things so complicated don't you? She has moved on Torey. You need too." Stevie begins to get up, so I get up from the stairs. I say to her,"I can't." Stevie doesn't turn around so instead I jog to catch up to her, just when I see Ally's friends coming out of the room. I caught up to Stevie, and she says,"Torey... just leave, there's nothing for you here anymore. Not Ally, not school, just go back where you were." I grab Stevie's arm and say,"Look, if you don't like me here, that's too bad. I'm here now." Ally and Stevie's friends were watching and I let go of her arm. I whisper to Stevie,"See you Monday Boebi. Don't get in my way." I then hear a voice, and voice that I've wanted to hear for so long, and it's Ally's. "Stevie?" Ally walks out of the room slowly and sees me standing next to Stevie closely. Ally looks right at me, then at Stevie. I say,"Don't you dare tell her, or else I'll tell everyone about your little secret Sarah." Stevie laughs and says,"Once again, you've been gone for a while, everyone already knows."

(Stevie's POV)

Damn, why hasn't Torey left yet? She then does something unimaginable. She has a horrible smirk on her face and kisses my cheek. She whispers,"Try and get out of this one." She walks to the exit at the end of the hallway, and I watch her leave. Everyone including Ally, is still watching me. I walk towards them, my head down, not wanting to speak right now because I'm so mad. I walk past them and go into Ally's room. I sit down and put my hands in my face, just angry at Torey. I hear them walk back into the room, and form a circle around me. I can feel a few tears coming to my eyes, but why am I being so over protective about Ally? She isn't my girlfriend, but right now, I'm her bestfriend and I don't want to see her get hurt again. I sigh and remove my hands from my face, and they are all staring at me, waiting for an answer. I say,"Torey is here again." No one says anything. I then start again and say,"She's here for um... Ally." My eyes meet Ally's and they are emotionless. "She's still in love with you, and she's come back to try and fix it." Ally's eyes drop to the floor and she goes back to the hospital bed. Shannon asks,"So... why did she give a kiss on cheek then?" I laugh and say,"Her way of trying to start shit, but she already has." Taylor says,"So she's coming back then? To our school?" I look at my hands and sigh. I say,"Yes. She's here for the rest of the year unless something happens or if she moves again." Ally says,"Wow." We all look at Ally and Danny asks the question we all want to ask. He asks,"Do you still love her Hills?" She looks down at her hands then looks straight into my eyes and takes a deep breath and says,"No. I think I'm in love with someone else." Cammie knows whats going on between us both, and she asks,"How do YOU know when YOU are in love with someone?"  Ally looks and me and says,"You can just feel it, in your whole body, not just your heart."

(Narrator's POV)

   And in that moment, Ally and Stevie both knew what they were feeling towards each other, but weren't too sure. The hours went by until the sun rose and everyone fell asleep again. Stevie sat next to Ally's bed, but couldn't sleep. Did Stevie love her bestfriend, and did Ally love her? More importantly, what would Torey do if she found out? Ally mumbled in her sleep and Stevie scooted closer to her, trying to hear what she said. She said,"Don't leave me." Stevie smiled to herself, but at the same time she didn't know what to do. It was 7:00 AM when Stevie got up and woke everyone else up. Everyone told Ally goodbye as she got checked out of the hospital, recovering at home in her bed. Stevie went shopping and decided to go home and just go to sleep. Both of them thinking about each other before they went to sleep, wondering how school would be on Monday.

Oh man.... Torey is back? Shit is going to go down! Sorry for making this like all drama for this chapter, but I am having horrible writer's block for this story and my other one...
