The night was completely back with no stars littering the sky, the warm summer air woodshed against my body as me and my friend Barbara slithered through the shadows of the school parking lot. Well Barbara was doing all the slithering I was being dragged by her. Tonight was the last night of the summer. That meant senior prank, which consequently meant that my friend Barbara was dragging me to school to help with the prank. It was cool doing the prank ourselves but break the rules in such blatant way made my stomach twist with nausea, my friend in the other hand was ecstatic and couldn't stand still for more than one minute.

Barbara and I were very alike she had dark, mildly curly hair and green eyes, whilst I had brown eyes and my hair was longer and with full thick curls. One of our biggest differences that she was very tall and slim, while I was a little shorter and with more muscle. The second thing that told us apart was that Barbara had the sharpest tongue ever and loved to pick fights mean while I disliked rudeness and confrontations very much.

Once we were inside the school building with the rest of the class, one of the jocks was giving instructions to everyone about the things that they needed to do. His name was Mitchell and he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but had brilliant ideas when it came to pranks. I was focused on listening to what Michael was saying when I felt someone pull at my pony tail making me turn around. A frown took place upon my face as I twisted my body to see the culprit who messed up my hairdo, but instead of finding one of the cheerleaders I found my friend Chris laughing his ass of.

Chris was very tall and muscular guy that loved to wear brand clothes, he was of African descent, his parents had moved from Kenia to California before he was even born. He was like a big cuddly bear but when he was angry looked more like a grizzly bear. Chris was a handsome boy and almost all girls sighed for him but much to their dismay he played for the other team.

"That wasn't necessary, if you wanted my attention you could have just tapped my shoulder or something." I chastised him.

"True but it wouldn't have been as funny, I just love that little frown you get when you are upset." He said as he threw his arm over my shoulder.

"You and Barbara are such meanies." I mumbled.

That just made him laugh again and ruffle my hair. We both turned around to see Mitchell reading names or a list. "...water cups team is Barbara, Kenny, Lisa..."

I waited to hear me name but it never happened. I turned to Barbara as she smiled sadly at me and walked to her prank team. "...glue chairs team is Chris, Nina, Steffany..." Michael didn't call my name for that team either so my friend took his arm of my shoulder, ruffled my hair once more and walked away.

"...the last team is paint balloons team in which are Mackenzie, Lara, Cameron, Nate..." I shivered as I heard Nate's name.

That boy was just a big mix contradictory things, he was very rude, didn't show up to class, had problems with authority, fought everyone and could be really cruel yet he still was on all the AP classes, was the school's quarter back and hadn't been expelled yet. All in all, Nathan Marcos was the walking definition of bad boy, the only thing missing was underground boxing and I was pretty sure that was a reality. That boy brought trouble where ever he went and he scared the living day lights out of me.

Mitchell finished reading the list but again I didn't hear my name being called. Slowly I walked up to Mitchell, who had his back to me now, and asked him what should I do. "Um... Excuse me, Mitchell?" I said softly a little intimidated by the huge football player.

He turned around and looked down to were I was. "Yes Gemma?"

"Well, I didn't hear you call my name for any team so I was wondering what should I do?" I asked him kindly.

He frowned and look at the papers in his hands. "Well, the truth is that none of us really thought that you'd come, I mean, you're too nice to play pranks on people. Don't get me wrong it's just surprising to see that you actually want to do something remotely mean." He said scratching the back of his neck.

I felt blood rush to my face as every other member of the football team turned around to stare at me. I am Gemma Stone Pacific High's  good girl that was never cruel or mean to anyone or anything. "Well look at that Mrs. Goody-goody two shoes decided to come to the dark side." Said a deep voice behind Mitchell that made me shiver in the bad way.

Nathan appeared behind Mitchell in all of his bad boy glory. Sandy blond hair with bright hazel eyes, he was at least 6 feet with huge shoulders and arms that were swoon worthy. His face was hard as rock and it was obvious that he rarely laughed. He was wearing baggy jeans and a Twenty One Pilots T-shirt.

"Nate, do you think that you can take Gemma into your team?" When Mitchell said that I wanted to back out so bad, the thought of being close the Nathan Marcos sent chills down my back.

"Sure thing Mitch, I'm sure we'll have lots of fun with Gemma here." Said Nate as he began to walk away to which Mitch just smiled at his friend and turned back around, and for some reason, Nate's words seemed more of a threat than anything else.

I was woken from my thinking mode by Nathan's voice booming through the hallway. "Are you coming Stone? Or are you afraid?" Nate turned around just enough for me to see the evil smirk forming on his lips.

His smile just made me want to vomit my dinner right in the middle of the hallway, even though I had a very bad feeling of how this was going to end, I followed Nate through the dimly lit corridor into, what I didn't know, was the beginning of the ride of my life.
