Life With A Hybrid ( A 1D fanfic)

Summary: Liam is a cat hybrid, he is eighteen and has never had a real family. In and out the pet store he goes always getting abused in the process. That is until a certain 2 people come along.

Liams POV: "Be quiet!" The rude pet store owner screams slapping me only adding to the bruises and cuts on my body. He then slams me in my cage.    

Allow me to explain. My name is Liam Payne, I am a cat hybrid. My ears and tail are white and fluffy, I am eighteen years old and the only place I can call home is my stupid tiny cage in a dirty pet store. Ever since I was six I have been in and out of this pet store, into houses and peoples lives who have only abused me. I don't know what I did I have always listened to orders, never spoke, and have never given anyone a reason to dislike me. But it doesn't matter, I am stuck with this life.

I lick my leg that's bleeding from the mans knife, my tounge feeling rough against my leg. Then I curl up in a corner of my cage feeling like maybe today my life may finally change for the better...

Nialls POV:  Today my boyfriend, Zayn, and I are adopting a hybrid. We have agreed that we will never intentionally hurt the hybrid we choose.

"Ready Ni?" Zayn questions as we pull up to the shop. I nod excitedly bouncing, that is until we enter the shop. Its dirty and full of too small cages stuffed full of hybrids that look abused.

I grasp Zayn's hand and pull him to a cage. Inside is a hybrid with white ears and a white tail pulled around his hips. I look at the tag that reads: Name: Liam Payne age 18 height 5'5 weighs 100 lbs and costs 2000 dollars

I reached out and let him sniff my hand before he nudged his head under it wanting me to scratch his ears. I do so and smile as Zayn calls over the man. He smiles as if he is happy to get rid of Liam. Zayn and I protest loudly when the man yanks out Liam knocking his head on the cage roof. Liam emits a tiny whimper before mewling quietly. I reach out and scoop him in my arms as Zayn pays the man and we storm out.

" Hey Liam I am Niall and this is my boyfriend Zayn, your going to live with us now and we promise to never ever hurt you okay baby." I ask. He nods before curling his hands into my jumper. "  You can also talk anytime you want we wont be mad." He nods again, and we sit in the car I let him ride with me because one, he wont let me go and two, it isn't that far of a ride so it wont be liable for us to get pulled over. WHen we reach the house I have Zayn going and getting him some of my sweats, I then thumb his ears as I climb the stairs and enter the bathroom. I slowly undress him and sit him onto the toilet before warming him a bath water and plugging the drain. Then I set him into the tub. As soon and he touches the tub the water turns brown. The though of this boy never getting a bath upsets me and I immediately unplug the drain letting the water drain. As soon as it fills back up I wet his hair careful of his ears and massage soap into it. He purrs quietly making me laugh. There is a knock on the door and Zayn comes in with clothes and boxers. He puts them on the sink and sits down beside me scooping up some soap and putting it on Liams nose making him go cross eyed. Zayn chuckles and keeps soapy water out of Liam's eyes as I wash the suds out of his hair. We repeat the process with Liam's body before Zayn grabs a fluffy towel and we pull him onto the rug between us. After drying him, we dress him in my clothes before I carry him out into the kitchen.

" Want something to eat bud? " Zayn asks as I sit Liam on a bar stool " How about sandwiches?"

" Sandwiches! " Liam crys out. " Yep Li sandwiches! Does grilled cheese and some milk sound good?" I ask and he nods quickly at the promise of milk. This make us chuckle as I pour the drinks and minutes later we are all sitting at the table eating little triangle sandwiches and drinking milk. After we cuddle in the bed until Liam falls asleep as we watch movies. Zayn and I smile at each other knowing that adopting Liam was the best choice we could have ever made.
