"Mommy, mommy!" A little Laurel said. "When I become a protector like you! Can I use daddies arrows please!" "Laurel where did you get that idea from?" Her mother said. "Daddy." "Makes sense, now hold on and stay here while I have a talk with daddy. Okay?" "Okay." Said Laurel.

Her mother went in search to find her husband. "Promising a little six year old girl weapons." She muttered under her breath." At such a young age!" She continued. " When I get my hands on him-" Now out of earshot Laurel got lonely at her mothers absence. Knowing a life like theirs, leaving a child alone, with the door unlocked, in the middle of the woods, where rogues could stumble upon their home and try to kill them all, is not a very good idea.

So Laurel, being the easily bored child she is, decided to go out into the garden to play on her swing. and then a man emerged out from the woods, Laurel did not like this man. 'He looks dirty! And smelly!' She thought. The mans eyes landed on her tiny form sitting on the swing. Her eyes wide and scared and confused all at the same time. The strangers mouth twitched up in a crooked smile. And he turned and ran fast back the way he came.

Laurel was spooked. She did not know what to do. After a few minutes she just decided that she could not do anything about it. "Laurel? Baby where are you?" It was her mother! just then her mother came to the garden and saw Laurel sitting on the swing. "Laurel you scared me! I told you to stay inside the house! So why in the world are you out here?" Said her mother frantically. "I got bored I am sorry mommy." Just then Laurels mother sniffed the air."Rogues!  Jason! Get your weapons! They have found us!" At that moment about 15 rogues emerged from the trees in their wolf form.

Laurels mother picked her up and ran into the house setting her down she said, "Laurel you know the safe spot we told you to go to in case of emergency?" "Yes." She said her voice trembling and thick with tears. "Baby I need you to go there right now and don't come out until everything is quiet and nothing is going on. Or until one of us comes to get you. Okay?" "M-mommy? Whats going on-n? You are c-coming ba-ack right?" Her mother simply smiled at her softly and kissed her forehead. She then ran outside. Never to be seen again.

Little did anyone know, that Laurel, would be the one to save them all.

I just read this over for the first time since whenever, and damn! I realized I left you on a serious cliffhanger! But let's get this over with!

Q&A

What kind of writer are you?

I would call myself a feminist writer who is about to drop some cheesiness in this book!

That's all I got. But enjoy the book.
