When Shiro got back to his room, Kaede was already asleep in her bed. She looked content in her sleep. Shiro heard her say "Sensei" in her sleep. He looked at her and smiled.
"Alright, I need a plan. I start training her tomorrow" Shiro told himself. Since Shiro did not bring his desk to her room, he decided to sit at Kaede's desk. He noticed she had some unfinished homework.
'She must've been tired,' Shiro thought. 'She fell asleep without me around. Oh well I think I'll be a good Sensei and finish her homework for her.' He looked at the problem on the sheet of paper. It looked like math. 'This should be easy enough.' Shiro stared at the problem for a whole minute. 'I don't know how to do this!' Shiro decided to push the papers to the side and placed his on piece of paper on the desk.
'Alright, now how do I teach an ordinary person how to fight. Now that I think about it, I had training with Liliana and Shura as well as just fighting in general, but we don't have time for that' Shiro thought as he started writing something on the paper. 'First she needs to learn how to hold a sword, then how to use it after. I think we'll start there.' Shiro wrote down his plan on the paper, then went to bed. When Shiro woke up, he saw Kaede hovering over him.
"Good morning Sensei. Are we going to start training today?" Kaede asked.
"Yeah, but let's not start on an empty stomach" Shiro replied. Kaede nodded. They went down the stairs and ate breakfast with the others.
"You're going to train Kaede today, Shiro?" Liliana asked. He nodded. "I could help you know."
"Thanks, but I got it" he told her. Liliana looked disappointed. After breakfast, Shiro and Kaede went to the backyard of the house.
"Here, take this," Shiro said, handing Kaede a sword. "I got this from one of my battles."
"Sensei, do you think I'll ever be strong like you?" Kaede asked.
"If you believe it can happen, then it will."
"Yay!" Kaede cheered. Shiro reached for his own sword.
"Alright, the first lesson is how to hold a sword. Try to hold it just like me" Shiro instructed, holding onto the handle of his sword with both of his hands. Kaede tried to mimic him, but it looked like she was trying to squeeze an orange between her hands rather than hold a sword. "Here let me show you." Shiro placed his sword back in its sheath and walked over to Kaede. He stood behind her and grabbed her arms. She blushed. He helped get her hands in the right place. "There, like that." He released her. Kaede stayed in the position. Shiro wielded his sword again.
"Okay, now try to swing like this." Shiro swung his sword. Kaede imitated his action and swung her sword just like he did. She did it pretty well. "Good job Kaede." She smiled. Shiro then showed her different techniques with the sword that he had learned from his experience with it.
"Whoa, Sensei's cool!" Kaede exclaimed. Shiro looked at her and smiled. "Hey Sensei?"
"What's up?"
"Am I going to be helpful?" Shiro looked at her with a puzzled look on his face. She looked back. "You already have amazing friends. I was just wondering if I could also be like them and help you beat your parents." Shiro smiled and patted her head.
"Of course you are" he told her. She cheered up and Shiro could see her eyes grow wide open.
"Yay!" Kaede cheered. "Sensei praised me!"
"Yeah, yeah. You've learned a lot. Ready to do some real fighting?" Shiro asked. Kaede looked shocked.
"W-We're going to fight actual enemies already!?"
