>> I know that last chapter I said it would be updated the day after I updated it. Sorry about that guys. Things got a little bit busy. But I have 25 minutes to update this, so sorry for any typos or anything. The song for this chapter is "A Love Story" by Brian Crain. His music is so amazing. Now, this chapter might not make sense at the beginning. Just know, her cancer got worse because I felt like making it worse. It's a short story, I can do what I want, shush. So reeaaddddd~ <<

For the rest of the car ride, she didn't talk to Dr. Nevue. He was useless to her and she hated him. When he pulled up to her driveway, she rushed out the car. Her dad was there, crying. He hugged her tightly. Gary thanked the doctor for bringing Alana back and David drove away.
"Where's mom?" she asked him.
"Oh, Alana... the stress of you being dead worsened her cancer. She's in the hospital."

"Mom?" Alana held her mother's hand as she sat beside her bed. Mary seemed tired, for her eyes were nearly closed.
"Alana, love," she whispered, turning her head to look at her daughter. "You're okay."
"I'm sorry, Mom. I won't ever do anything like that again, I promise!"
Mary opened her mouth, but nothing came out. Her eyes closed and her grip on Alana's hand loosened.
"Mom? Mom!"
No reply came from her. Remembering the old widow again, Alana would have screamed for someone to come quick and save her. But after the disappointment with the doctor, she didn't believe anymore.
Beside Alana was a sobbing Gary Lonoway. She knew her mother was gone. Mary Lonoway had died on the anniversary of William Lonoway's death because Alana Lonoway stressed her to death. She hated the doctor and she hated herself for the pain they have both caused in this family.
It's Okay, Alana. It wasn't your fault, the new voice of her mother echoed in her head, trying to reassure her.
"But it is."
Her father looked at her through the tears that blurred his already impaired vision. "H-Huh?"
"Nothing," she replied as the tears of 2014 rolled down her cheeks and became the tears of 2015.
