A/N before I begin.
So, my phone was recently stolen. . . and I ended up losing my notes that had all my prompts for Camsten. oops.
Meaning, it would be awesome if you would all start sending me prompts again. Or comments in general. Something.
It's actually been a while since I've had a chance to talk with any of you, or see a nice comment. I know we all have school right now, but it'd mean a lot to me to hear from you all.
On with the show! :)
"How long has your mom been like this?"
Cameron was with Kirsten again, watching as Kirsten painted her own nails this time. "For about a month now. My dad says it shouldn't be taking this long, but he also says it needs to be perfect."
"Well isn't that confusing."
Kirsten looked up and smiled at him. She smiled a lot. "Wanna come to my room?" he asked.
"My dad would kill me if I did."
"He sleeps the entire time your here. If he didn't want you to go, he'd be watching you."
Kirsten shrugged, then screwed on the top to her nail polish. "Alright. Let's go." The walk to Cameron's room wasn't that far. The duo just had to take a right outside of the hospital room Kirsten's mom was in, and go down three doors.
Cameron's room wasn't much different from the rest of the hospital. It smelled like bleach, and it's carpet was as spotless as any other. The only difference, was the books that were on every surface available. Every table and bookcase was filled with them.
Without thinking, Kirsten spoke. "Read one."
Cameron looked at her like she had gone mad. "Like, read one to you?"
"Yes, precisely."
That day, Cameron read to her about a young deer named Bambi. That one made her cry.
The next day, Cameron read to Kirsten about a princess named Cinderella. That one made her happy.
The final day that Kirsten came to the hospital, Cameron read her one last story. This one was about was about a boy who could fly, a boy named Peter. He met a girl named Wendy, and they went to Neverland together.
When he was done, Kirsten sat there, silent. "Why do they all end the same?" she finally asked.
"They don't."
"Yes they do. Each one makes you think that they all are happy and fine at the end. But that isn't true. Cinderella and Bambi still don't have mothers. Wendy can't go back to Neverland. They make you think the ending is happy, but it really isn't."
"I guess, if you want to look at it that way."
"How do you look at it Cameron?"
The brunette sat there for a minute. "I look at it however you look at it."
Kirsten smiled again. "You're cheesy." Cameron smiled back at her.
The young children couldn't possible know what their futures had in store. Kirsten and Cameron would both go through extreme hardships over the next few years. But little did they know that both were being put in the right direction.
Kirsten's father made sure that Cameron became an employee for the Stitcher's program. Ed helped keep Kirsten away from the program and away from Cameron. And even after Kirsten joined and the duo was reunited, someone was still pulling strings behind the curtain.
Now the question was who. . . . . and what did they have with Kirsten and Cameron.
. . . Not quite sure what that was. But it was cute.
I hope you guys enjoyed! I really haven't got much to say for this one. . . so leave a comment if you want to talk!
