Chapter 4: Welcome to the House

Now thanks for Luke, Calum and Amy had started calling me Rooz.

Me: I bet you'll all just go back to calling me Roo soon cos you'll forget Rooz. It's not something that'll catch on.

Luke: oh you don't worry about that. I'll make sure everyone remembers Rooz and then it'll surely catch on.

Amy: I really don't see why you don't like it? Rooz is actually better than Roo.

Luke: THANK YOU AMY

Calum: Yeah I really see what Luke meant...Roo was just incomplete

Amy: I agree

Luke: Rooz, I love your friend

Me: I'm sure you do.

Amy: Hey, don't be rude. The boy loves me.

Everyone but me laughed.

The whole journey home was pretty much like this. Luke made a joke, Calum commented on it, Amy agreed and then they all laughed.

Me: Calum, how far is your new house from the airport? We've already been in the car for 45 mins

Calum: Actually it's only half an hour away but it's the traffic

Luke: They don't know?

Calum shh-ed Luke and this triggered my questions. Again.

Me: Know what? Calum what are you hiding?

Amy: Chill. I should be the one panicking cos I'm in a car with two guys I've never met before today. You know them, one is your cousin! I'm pretty sure he ain't gonna kidnap you.

Calum: Thank you Amy! You know what, I'll agree with Luke, I love your friend.

Amy: What can I say, I am lovable. *laughs with Luke and Calum*

Me: Yeah okay, I get it, I'm not lovable and I'm not fun but can you please tell me where are we going?

Calum: It's nearly 12, we thought we should go have lunch first and then go home.

Me: Who's we? I'm pretty sure it wasn't you who thought of it.

Luke: Aww Rooz knows me well.

Amy: Dude, did you just say 'aww' to that?

Calum: Yeah, he's a bit sensitive I guess.

Luke: That's not sensitive...I don't even know what it's called but defo not sensitive.

Me: My question still remains...WHERE ARE WE GOING?

Amy: For lunch.

Me: Where not why!

Luke: We're going to Taco Bell

Me: That's my favourite!

Luke: I know *winks*

Amy: *smirks at me* ooohhhh

Me: umm...Amy you wanted to go there too, right?

Amy: Wanting to go there and it being my favourite is kinda different.

I stayed quiet for next 2 mins, the time it took for us to reach Taco Bell. We actually just ordered from the drive thru which was helpful cos I didn't have to worry about the awkward conversation again.

Calum: Next stop, home!

Amy: Luke is coming with us?

Calum: Yeah well, umm, we've got stuff to talk about.

Amy: You sound like Rooz and I

Calum: Best friends?

Amy: More like girls who're best friends.
