Bradley's P.O.V//
My alarm went off at 8:00 telling me that I had to get up and go to work. I groaned, turning off my alarm and pulling myself out of bed. I got ready and grabbed my skateboard to head to Born Bad, which is the record store I work at.
I'm Bradley Cobain, I'm 18 years old, an I live in Las Angeles, California. I know what you're thinking, yes I have a guys name, and yes my last name is the same last name as Kurt Cobain. Not for any special reason, we just have the same last name. I grew up in New York, but not in the big city part, so I'm not really used to big cities. My dad passed away when I was 4, and I don't remember him much, but I know he meant a lot to my mom. My mom is my best friend. And even though she still lives in New York, we still keep in touch and talk to each other almost everyday. As soon as I graduated, I moved here because this is where I've always wanted to be. I've lived here for almost a year now.
I got to work and clocked in. I had just gotten behind the counter when Calum walked in. "I wanted to see if you had any new picks in the Free Picks jar," he said grabbing the jar and searching for one he didn't already have. I raised my eyebrow at him. "Calum I'm pretty sure you already have all of those." He just shrugged and kept looking.
Calum and I have been friends for about 8 months. We met at an Arctic Monkeys concert last year in August. He got the seat beside me and talked to me for a while before it started, and after it was over we went to his place and had a jam session since he plays bass and I play guitar. And that's basically how we got to be friends.
"Hey Cal, you wanna grab lunch or something during my lunch break?"
"I have to be at the shelter today. Jingles had a litter of kittens, and they want me to help out with them," he said smiling. Calum has a part time job at an animal shelter, and he seems to really like it. "Alright, let me know how that goes," I said. "Will do. Movie marathon later, Brad?" he asked getting his keys out, and opening the door to leave. I nodded.
Just as he was pulling out, my co-worker Jenn walked in. "So I see Calum already made his daily visit," she chuckled. "Mmhm. Hey do you wanna go for lunch today?" "Sure," she smiled.
A few hours later, we got in Jenn's car. "So, pizza sound good?" she asked. "Anything sounds good, I'm starving." She laughed and started to pull out of the parking lot. We arrived to a little pizza parlor and went inside. "So," Jenn said when we were figuring out what to order,"When was the last time you went on a date?"
"Right now," I joked. "Ha ha, very funny. I'm serious B," she said rolling her eyes. I smiled at the nickname. "Honestly I don't really remember."
"Can't even get a date, huh?" she smirked. "Hey blondie," I laughed,"I'm just trying to focus on living life and having fun for now." We continued taking about nothing in particular until we headed back to Born Bad.
Finally, it was 5:00 and I was getting off. I got home and called Calum. "What's good, Hood?" I said when he picked up. "Please do me a favor, and never ever do that again." I chuckled at his reaction. "Alright. Do you think you could bring some cookie dough when you come over later?" I asked "Anything for you my dear," he joked. "Thanks Cal." "I'll be over in about an hour," he said before hanging up.///////////////////////////////////
