STATUE (Is that you?)

Chest out, stomach in

Butt out, lift your chin

Everyone's dictating you

On what to do

Can't do what you want

Obliged to do their command

You should be perfect!

So they'll see that you're worth it

Don't  wanna hear their judgments?

Then, be obedient!

Afraid of rejections

Need to meet their expectations

Hiding emotions

Craving attentions

Sick of negligence

Please! I want acceptance!

Now, I'm tired of pleasing you..

To be someone else you want me to

Who am I?

In front of other's eye?

Well, I'm just an enormous pretentious lie!

  Bakit po STATUE ang title? Trip ko lang! Bakit ba? jk. Hahaha v(=∩_∩=)ﾌ

  Kaya po ganyan ang title kasi Statue symbolizes outer appearance in my poem. It means, kung hindi mo alam ang behind the story nung Statue or kung hindi mo kilala yung tao.. mag-istick ka lang sa nakikita mo or paniniwalaan mo lang yung based on what you see, kasi hindi mo naman alam kung sino ba talaga siya o kung ano ba talaga yung nararamdaman niya!
