chapter 18

I went upstairs to get my jacket. I knew that it was wrong to leave my family for Christmas but I wanted to clear things up with Josh. I don't want to keep fighting with him. When I walked back downstairs to leave my mother was crying saying " why? Why, doesn't she trust us?" My father was holding her. But then Alex came to me and whispered:" you need to leave before it's too late." I looked at her with a confused expression I said nothing and left what did she mean by before it's too late?

( Josh's P.O.V)

I somehow missed Jessica in my house annoying the hell out me. My mom then asked," is Jessica coming back?" I shrugged I mean my mom loved Jessica but it's weird. I then asked" mom can I have Victoria come over for dinner?" I frowned but nodded. She never gave her a fair chance because she loved Jessica so much. I can't wait until Victoria comes over I'm sure she would love my present. I got her earrings and a matching dress. I'm still surprised that I actually got Jessica a present. I'm sure she got me nothing. But I really could care less. But all that work I did to get that gift under that dame tree. I had to find Alex and tell her to put it under the tree and say nothing to no one.

She agreed happily, but of course, there was a catch. That was to get her some chocolate. Man, she is obsessed with chocolate just like her dame sister.I wonder if she opened the gift yet. Then my mom called" let's open our gifts!!" I swear she was like a little kid. Then I said" mom, no wait for Victoria!!" I heard her suck her teeth than she said" fine, but if she comes a second late I'm not gonna hesitate to open my gifts." I laughed and said," ok, deal." I just sat on my bed thinking about Jessica. I don't like her but, she was different. She was brave, smart, funny, and beautiful.

All this thinking made me eager to see Victoria. Victoria is smart, sexy, beautiful, funny, and bold. I think if I really spent every bit of time with her I'll fall in love with her more than I've already had. I've got so many pictures of us together.

Then I heard a knock at the door.
I ran down the steps and unlocked. I opened the door widely with a smirk. That's when I saw Victoria.
"Hey, babe," I said
"Hey, so um can we talk?"
I nodded so I ushered her into my room. My mother yelled from the kitchen " no sex!!!!" I laughed and said, " alright mom!!!!" Victoria sat on my bean bag chair and I sat on the bed. She then said," listen I feel like you don't interest me." I was surprised at this statement. So I ask " why is that?"

"well, every time I try to give you my all you turn it down." She said than looked down. I said, " listen I wanted our first time to be special, but if it makes you happy we'll do it tonight." She nodded and hugged me. Then my mom called" come eat!!!"

We skipped down and my mom already opened her presents. I laughed and started to eat. It was silence at first but then the doorbell rung. My mom got up to answer and it was Jessica. My mom started to cry. She than bear hugged her. I could hear Jessica giggle. She was wearing the necklace I gave her.

Than Victoria asked" why the hell is she here? Did you invite her? Is this your way of breaking up with me?" I laughed a little she was so dramatic so than I said:" she lives here." She looked stunned and repeated" she lives here, why?" I looked at her and said" because my mom was generous to let her stay. She has nowhere else to go." She laughed and has an evil smile.

Then my mom said," time for you guys to open your presents!!" We ran over and I started opening them. I got a watch from my girlfriend, clothes from my mom, and a mystery gift that I hadn't open yet. I unwrapped the paper and opened the black box where I saw diamond chain with a small star. I looked up at Jessica and she smiled. I only told that story to her. Then on the back, it said, "be yourself always." I can't believe she actually got me a gift not only that she remembered the story I told her. Then my mom said," oh my gosh, who got you that it's beautiful." I smiled then said" a really good friend."

(Victoria's P.O.V)

I see the chain that someone got him and it's beautiful. It's a better gift than I got him. Then I see this little star on his weird. Then I turn to look at Jessica and see that she have a moon on hers. Omg, they got each other gifts. He only got me a dress and earrings that meant nothing. She is trying to still Josh and I'm not having that. He is now a bad boy and wants the fame. But it's an easy fix. People always have a weak point lucky for me I know her secret. That's right smile and look at him why you get your chance.

(Jessica's P.O.V)

He figured that the chain was from me. He seemed to like it. Than Sally asked, "Who wants cake?" Josh got up and ran to the kitchen with his mom. I was about to when Victoria said:" wait right there, may I speak to you?" I can't believe she has manners. I turned around and said, " sure, why not." I sat back down and said," this should be good." She smirked and said," stop trying to still my boyfriend." I laughed at her stupid thought. Then said " I don't want Josh." "please, I know you bought him that chain." I said," so what it's a gift I bought all my friends gifts." "not that expensive." She scoffed than said," listen back off, I love him and he loves me and if you don't your secret will be told to the whole school." " what secret?" I asked. " don't play dumb we were old friends do not remember. You're a seeker." I looked down.

( a seeker in my book is a person that can speak to animals.)

It is true I am and there are only five on earth known. Count me it's six. People treat them like their freaks never have any privacy. I looked up at her and said:" fine I'll stay away, but I do live here." She nodded then said" I'm doing this for both of us. You wouldn't want Brandon thinking his girlfriend is cheating now would we?" I then said, "you're a bitch."

She smiled than Josh said," hey you to can have your girl talk later." Victoria than said," oh we are finished."

Later on that night I laid in bed while Josh slept over Victoria house. She played a good game. Now just remember Jessica stay away from Josh.
