Always Be With You (Legolas Greenleaf)

"Anodien, I am leaving with Frodo and the others in the Fellowship tomorrow." Legolas tells me. My heart dropped, just the words I didn't want to hear. Why? Why did it have to be Legolas? He could die out there. I have to tell him how I feel about him before it's too late. He has to know...He must know...I can't imagine what I would do without him; I would be lost.

"Oh," was all I could say. I was literally at a loss for words, although in my mind I couldn't keep track of what I was thinking. It was all happening too fast. Way too fast than what I was used too. I closed my eyes a moment and sighed, waiting for Legolas to speak again.

"Anodien, I know what you're thinking; you don't want me to leave. Yet I have too. I want to help young Frodo. You know how I am. Once I have made up my mind it can't be changed..."

I nodded, "Y-yeah..." I bit my lip, should I just tell him now and hope for the best? It was at least worth a shot, I mean, I might never see Legolas again. That thought alone scared me.

"Legolas," I started to say as Legolas says, "Anodien."

Legolas blushes, "Ladies first, A." He smiled, and it was my turn to blush. He used my nickname from when we were little!

"W-well...I've got to tell you something...It's been bugging me for a while now and...And I'm afraid that I'll never get to see you again, so I feel this is my only chance to tell you..." I rambled nervously.

"Anodien, whatever it is, you can tell me, there is no need to be afraid..." Legolas says, taking my hand with his...

"I...I love you...I've liked you for a while now but it turned into something more..." Legolas smiled at this, looking me straight in the eye, which, of course, made me look away. Needless to say, I was nervous. Plus I wasn't good with the whole 'romance' thing, seeing as I've never felt this way before...With anyone...

"Anodien, it's okay..." Legolas says, taking my other hand with his, so that both of our hands were intertwined...

"R-really? Why is that?" I ask him...

Instead of giving me a straight up answer, he bent down and kissed me...I closed my eyes slowly, taking in the moment. His lips on mine, our hands together.

"I'll always be with you, Anodien, I love you, too. I promise I'll be back for you." Legolas says. I smile, believing his every word.

"And I'll always be with you, Legolas Greenleaf." Then I kiss him...
