Prologue

Miranda looked into the ditzy girls eyes with pure seriousness.

"Are you absolutely sure about this, Kira?", Miranda asked.

Kira nodded her head with a grin that spread from ear to ear. Kira had thought of a plan to go down to the human planet, Earth.

"Kay, but personally I like it up here. Ya know, in the clouds," the curly brunette sighed as she climbed on her broom, "3...2...1... LETS GO!" Miranda and Kira kicked off and flew down at full speed. The wind blew Miranda's hair into her mouth. 'Lucky Kira. Her hair is short. My hair is long and always gets in my face,' Miranda thought to herself bitterly.

"HEY!", Kira yelled to Miranda as the wind struggled to overcome her loud voice, "STOP THINKING SO BADLY ABOUT YOURSELF!"

"SORRY!", Miranda yelled back. Both girls looked down to see how far they were from Earth. Only a couple thousand yards at this point. "TIME TO SLOW DOWN!", Miranda yelled to Kira.

The other girl nodded her head vigorously to show her understanding.

They kicked their feet out and pulled the nose of the broom up. As the ground became more detailed they slowed down. This went on until they were hovering just above the ground.

Kira turned to Miranda and simply said, "Perfect."

"Can't put it as much else," Miranda agreed. Kira had already hopped off her broom and was looking around.

"Kira ya know we should find somewhere to stay while we're on Earth," Miranda said as she got off her broom and grabbed Kira's broom (which was still floating in midair).

"Oh, I know," Kira said with a slight huff. Miranda rolled her eyes.

This wasn't going to be easy.

"Hey what about that shack!", Kira exclaimed before running off towards a broken down shack. It was pretty much just a glob of boards nailed together.

"Maybe with a bit of fixing up," Miranda said blandly after she started walking towards the shack after Kira, "For now let's just clear out a spot for us to sleep."

It was already getting to be about seven o'clock pm.

As Miranda approached the shack she saw a nice spot for a clearing.

"Right about here'll work," Miranda said brushing away leaves with her foot. Kira whipped up a few blankets with her magic. Miranda looked at Kira and smiled warmly. "Thanks."

"You're welcome!"

Miranda grabbed one of the blankets and curled up with it on the floor. Her friend did the same and laid beside her so they were facing each other.

"It's a good thing we have sleep overs all the time, or else this would be awkward," Miranda said, "Come to think of it, it still is kind of awkward."

"Hey, it takes pressure off of what might happen to us while we're down here alone," Kira said.
