Deal with Death
The pain was overwhelming that made me want to just lie there.. Lifeless.. But no. I know I have to open my eyes.
The memories flashed like a slide show inside my head. A sob escaped my lips..
"She's back!" narinig kong sigaw ng isang babae.
"This is a miracle!" that was a man’s voice. I trembled. Natatakot pa din ako.
I would have chosen to pretend dead. Paanu kung saktan nila ako ulit?
"Doc! Ang anak ko!" parang biglang gusto kong bumangon nang marinig ko ang hindi magkamayaw na paghihinagpis ni Mama. Hindi ko kayang nagkakaganyan sya. Nasasaktan ako lalo. Ramdam ko ang mga nagmamadaling kilos ng mga tao sa paligid ko. Nararamdaman ko din ang reaksyon ng katawan ko sa mga ginagawa nila.. Pero hindi ako makakilos.. Ni hindi ko maimulat ang mga mata ko.
"Misis, kami na ho ang bahala sa anak nyo..."
"Anak! Lumaban ka!"
