So, real quick A/N. Hello! This probably sucks, so, sorry in advance. Anyway, I wrote this chapter a while ago but not the rest. I shall strive to make the chapters longer. And, uh, Rachel.... you asked for it.....

"Long day, Partner?"

"To put it mildly."

It was, in fact, the understatement of the century. The agents had a triple homicide case on their hands and it was growing harder and harder to find any more evidence. Of course, this wasn't any regular murder. No, Dean and his partner, Benny, worked cases that no other agent would even dare sink their teeth into. They were experts of the unusual, "walking encyclopedias of weirdness" as Dean had so kindly put it. But they were more than that, they were smarter, braver, kinder, more just than the average fed. Their senses had been fine tuned from years of hunting the invisible, the things that aren't really there, the things that go "bump" in the night.

Before Dean and Benny had gotten the job, they hadn't really known each other that well. Dean and his little brother had been on a hunt. A vampire case. Yes, actual vampires with the fangs and the nocturnal habits and the blood drinking. Actual vamps. The case had been rather simple, really. Multiple deaths in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 4 teens -3 females, 1 male- had been found in a mass shallow grave, 5 more were missing. They had gone on a hiking trip and never checked in. The whole "shallow grave" thing screamed "unusual", the monsters didn't typically dispose of the bodies -usually, there wasn't anything to dispose of. But the corpses that had been found had their throats ripped open and blood drained, the M.O. of everyone's favorite fanged creep.

Finding the nest hadn't been hard either. There was a farm out in the country, not in close vicinity to many other buildings but, a man looking for a place to crash for the night had heard screams from the barn. While investigating, the boys had run into another "agent" and decided to work the case together. Sam, Dean's brother, and Benny had butted heads at first and Dean didn't fully trust him either however, taking out the nest required much more man power than they had originally thought. 18 vamps in total, Sam had gotten 5, Benny had gotten 7 and, Dean exterminated the final 6. Luckily, none of the missing teenagers had been turned yet. Unfortunately for them, no matter how badass they may think themselves to be, teenagers tend to freak out when they watch you decapitate 18 vampires right before their blurry eyes.

When the cops arrived, they had told them everything. Later that night, as the three hunters were parting ways, there was a knock on the door of the brothers' crappy motel room. Benny had helped Sam escape but, there wasn't enough time for Dean or Benny to get away, Sam had just gotten out the window as the door flew open. They were taken in and, after hours of interrogation, they had convinced the police that there never was a third member, ("They all have concussions, they were probably hallucinating") and that Dean and Benny were partners in crime. Dean had gained respect for the man after that.

Eventually, word got around that the kidnappers were "vampires" and after what had to be at least 4 books worth of lore, the police decided to trust the two. They were offered jobs as detectives to which the alternative was life in prison without parole. Needless to say, they took the job. After a while in Tulsa on their police force, they built up quite the reputation and soon enough, they were recruited by the FBI. They can't complain though, the pay's decent and it sure beats the hell out of prison. Besides, now they finally have their own real I.D.'s.

So now, 3 years later, they find themselves scavenging for evidence that the local law enforcement had not thought important enough to preserve. "Well, it's a good thing I brought food." Benny said as he set a paper bag from Mel's Diner down the street on Dean's desk, "Sarah even remembered the pie."

"We've only been eating there for the past year and a half." Dean said smirking, typing away at his computer, barely paying any mind to the food in front of him.

"Brother, you need to eat." Benny pushed on, "Take a break away from that computer, I know you've been working fro three days straight, big brother's been watching you." He said pointing to Deans web cam. Ok, so, maybe they were still being watched like hawks but, can you blame them?

"Fine," Dean heaved a sigh and turned from his computer. He pulled two huge burgers and a container with a slice of cherry pie out of a paper bag and handed one of the burgers to Benny. "So, I was thinking: vengeful spirit of the lady that died there, like, fifty years ago. Over the past 50 years, the house has had 10 different owners," he said as he handed a file over to Benny, "Each of the owners moved in and moved right back out in under a year after someone in the family, usually the father, died a gruesome death. Guess that kinda makes the place hard to sell." He took a huge bite of his burger and sat back in his desk chair.

"So, what's the story behind Mrs. Turner?" Benny asked upon finding the page in the file of the house's original owner.

"There isn't much on her except some legal documents. I was thinking," he started.

Benny scoffed "That's a first."

Dean Ignored him and continued, "I was thinking that Turner was killed by her husband. "

"That would explain why the husbands are killed." Benny agreed.

"Yeah, but, the Smith family that lived there in '87 stayed the longest -10 months- 4 months after Daddy was murdered."

"Then why did they finally move?"

"Because little Johnny was murdered 3 months after his father." Dean finished off the last of his burger and reached for his pie.

"She ain't got a problem with just husbands, so, with men in general?" Benny looked up from the file to see Dean nodding in agreement.

"That's what I was thinking," Dean mumbled around his mouthful of pie.

"Maybe she was killed by her husband, or just some random man, and now she sees all men as a threat."

"Seems like the most logical explanation. We should head out to the house though, get a feel for the place, talk to the neighbors."

"We got a long drive ahead of us, brother, better rest up."

"Yeah, sounds good." Dean stood from his chair and yawned. Benny ushered him out of the office and to their long awaited rest.
