Can You Survive?

Finally!

"Woohoo finally graduation day!!!" I screamed at the top of lungs.

"Whats next? oooooohhh best friend over there" I think to myself as I look around.

"Hey wtf your not paying me any attention!!" Ash just glared at me. "hehehe I'm special and you know it" she just shakes her head at me.

'hey Jordan where are you going after this?' she asked me with a sad look.

"I'm not so sure that you want to know the answer.' i said as i looked away.

' why you say that? is it something bad... OMG are you going to be a drug dealer?' she was laughing, if only she knew the words about to come out of my mouth would change our lives forever.

"Uhm.. no actually im going into the army.. im gonna fight the battle." i couldn't even look at her due to what emotion i was afraid i was gonna be met with.

'wait.. your leaving me for 3 years?' she was about to cry.. i felt so bad.

"well.. if i enjoy it im gonna do more than one term." i couldn't look at her cause i knew if i did i would cry.

'so your not going to college? what about me and you against the world forever?'

"i was offered a full ride to college if i at least spent 3 years or more in the army."

'so your just up and leaving after this?' she was on the break of crying and i couldn't help but nod my head.

"look at me" she lifts her eyes to me "im still here for another week then i have to leave" i cupped her face and wiped away fallen tears "and im gonna spend each moment of it with you."

' you better or else im gonna cry so much that i have no more tears to cry.' she had a light smile on her face but i could still see the pain behind her eyes.

"lets go home so we can start our week together." i pulled her to me and walked with her out to the car and helped her in.
