It was a rainy day, I was with my friend Jennifer and we were playing basketball, but then we started running. I was so happy, and I ran faster and faster, and suddenly, I fell and it usually it hurts a lot, but not this time, this time, I feel nothing, and my brain was just going through all of my memories, I thought I was going to pass out, but when my friend shake me out of the scary memories, I can finally feel the pain, it hurts a lot.
"Hey, hey, are you alright?? I don't think so, 'cause you have blood coming out near your hips. Do you want to call your mom?" my friend Jennifer asked me with a worry face.
" uhhh. Sure, but can you call my mom for me, because I don't want to listen to her dramatic sound every time I got injured. Thank you!" I said it with a weak voice, but trying to be cheerful.
" Okay, at least you're fine. I was scared. I thought you're gonna pass out! Don't do that next time, please." my friend said it with a warm smiled on her face.
" I'm sorry that I scared you, but I didn't do it on purpose, I was scared too!" I said, trying to make a smile on my face.
Then I heard a sound of my friends phone. She was calling my mom. I was trying to stand up by myself, but Jennifer told me to keep on lying over there. I was thinking that at least there are no one over there, or that would be embarrassing.
After a few minutes of silence, and I feel terrible, it hurts a lot, and I was lying on the ground and doing nothing. Between the silence out of my friend and I, my mom finally came, and broke the silence. She was being do dramatic. " Do you want to call the ambulance? Are you okay? Oh my goodness! you have blood leaking out of you!!"
My mom was shouting, running, and crying at the same time towards me.
"We need to call the ambulance. I told you not to play in the rain, why are you here! See now we're in this situation because of you! Jennifer, can you call the ambulance for me? Thank you." my mom used a dramatic and loud voice talking to me.
" Kaitlyn's mom, if you don't mind, would you just let her rest a little bit, I think she is tired too, and sure I will call the ambulance for you," Jennifer said.
I'm glad that Jennifer said that because my mom is so dramatic, but I never get why. It's only little injuries. I sat on the basketball court for quiet a minute, and there's nothing, only silence between me, my mom, and Jennifer. I feel even worse than the silence between me and Jennifer, it hurts like I was going to be dead.
But quickly, the ambulance arrived. It broke the silence. The nurse in the ambulance saw my blood coming out of me, and her face looked nervous. When the ambulance stopped, she quickly ran off the ambulance, and she opened the other door to get the bed out, she struggled in that part, then my mom went helping, and finally, they get the bed out of that ambulance.
The nurse opened the bed and push it towards me, and I tried to stand up, but she told me to stay there. When she got the bed near me, the nurse and my mom helped me up, and when I stand up, it hurts even worse. Then, I got up the bed, I wasn't feeling really comfortable, and then nurse pushed me up to the ambulance, and my mom and Jennifer got on the ambulance too. The driver asked if we were ready, and we said yes, then he started the engine and drove the car towards the hospital.
The nurse was asking me a lot of questions like are you feeling okay, the whole time I was thinking that if I'm okay, then why am I here? After a bunch of unanswered questions, we finally got to the hospital. My mom was so nervous.
The nurse push me into a doctor's room, then she lefted. " How are you doing today, Kaitlyn?" the doctor asked.
"Fine, " I said. " I hurt myself by running in the basketball court when it's raining. I'm sorry."
" You don't need to say sorry, and you've done a great job, you answer my question that I was gonna ask." Another nurse said to me. I used to feel like nurses are mean, and will hurt someone, it's like that on the TV show, but it was different in real life, because now, I feel like the nurse is the one who save me.
I was remaining calm and quiet during the car ride to the hospital, and I feel like I've done nothing in the hospital because I waste all of my energy running around with my friend, and the doctor didn't let me feel anything, so I walked out still feeling nothing, but after a few minutes, my feelings are back, and I felt like that was a dream.
I want to tell everybody that if something happened keep calm, and everything will be fine.
