I woke up with a start, the chilly cold air making my arms covered with goose bumps. The smell of hay and musk hit my nose, as well as the classic smell of the FFA members. Opening my eyes, I lied there, feeling something other then the softness of my bed. With a groan, I pushed myself up, and opened my eyes, taking in what was around me.

Around me, torn and bitten, was at least 3 large pigs. Huge bite marks where on their body's, each in a different place. A gag swelled in my thoaugt as I realized the cold truth, looking in their eyes. My breathing became harder, like a weight on my chest as I scooted back, running into the wall. Jumping to my feet, I turned an ran, running into the pen walls. The few of the animals that where left panicked, like I was, making a ruskes, as if I was the problem. Without a second thought or glance, I ran.

It wasn't until I was further on the campus I realized where I was. MISH, the local highschool. I took a deep breath, resting hands on my dark jeans. "What was that," I asked myself, the sound of my heart beating in my chest echoing in my ears. My eyes wandered the campus, the sleek chairs, the empty hallways. Deep down I was thankful it was a Saturday, but terrified that I was alone.

I fought every instinct to call out, and to run and hide. My breath was shaky, and I did what I knew. Heading down those halls, I found my way to the front of the school, near the big dome of the Clark Center, and near the huge solar panels that feed the body of the school. Rubbing my hands against my arms, as a shiver ran up spine. "What happened... Why was I here? I guess I won't find out by standing here like this... Maybe I should go into town. Yea, that sounds good." I took a deep breath as I ran my fingers though my hair, stopping as they tugged against something. With a tug, a stick the size of my thumb came free.

After finding more parts of some tree in my hair, I was on my way to the village, just as the suns rays started warming the cold air. My shoes echoed as the head lights of cars passing by lit the way. Though I was alone, no one bothered to stop.

"Welcome Faelan, what can I get for you." Said the cashier of the local coffee shop. "Just the normal please" I asked, trying to keep my voice even. "You got it!" She said with a smile, leaving me be as she bustled around to finish the orders, mine included. Taking a seat on the couch, I took a moment to gather my thoughts and recalled what had happened just moments before. I woke up, outside. Not only that, but with dead animals around me. I opened my eyes again, there was nothing I could do about it now. The pigs where dead, but I didn't know why.

"Good morning Faelan, nice morning out." I looked up to see someone I knew from coming here each morning, sitting at a nearby table. Next to him, was someone I hadn't me before, but could tell the two where close friends.

"Yes Sir, sure a interesting one," I faked a smile back, as his face lit up in a large smile.

"You have that right. A wolf was spotted by the highschool, and there was word of it attacking some of the animals over there. I am just glad no one got hurt," the guy next to him shook his head, "that's a shame. Though there hasn't been a wolf here in 18 years. Not surprising it showed up now."

I took a moment to process that, biting the inside of my lip. 'Wolf? Here? That must have been what I saw. Though that's kinda odd, there hasn't been one since before I was born.'

"Yea, let's hope it doesn't cause us too much trouble. Brave little things end up killing themselfs." They went on even though I wasn't looking at them.
"Oh yea, didn't you just turn 18 last week Faelan? Well, I be darned. You look a lot like your father." he grinned as I looked back at him. My mouth my dry but I still choked out a reply.
"Yes sir, I get that a lot. Thank you." It was when I finished talking my name was called, and my coffee was ready. I still couldn't shake the chill that haunted me ever since I woke up.

I had finally began to head home, looking around when my reflection in a shop window caught my eye. I had dark brown hair, that went down past my shoulders, and freshly cut bangs, almost covering my eyes. That was normal, so was the red tanktop, dark coal colored jeans, and red shoes to match. However when I looked into my eyes I stopped for a bit. They seemed the same color, but also looked
Cold. Dead even. I shut my eyes tight, and when I opened them again, it was like nothing happened.
A buzz in my pocket got me to look away, mentally hitting myself for forgetting about my phone. How does a teen in this day and age forget that? I pulled it out and looked at the caller Id,
And took in a breath when I saw who it was.

"Where are you? Are you hurt? Is everything ok? Did the wolf get you?! What happened!?" Come from the other end as my mother barfed out all she wanted to say at once. I waited for her to finish, before speaking for myself.
"Yes mom, I am fine. No, I didn't see or hear a wolf, and I just walked Into town for a bit of fresh air." I replied. Though I hated lying to my mom, there was no way she would ever believe what I had to say.
"Well... I am just glad your ok. Just please, tell me next time you go out."
"I promise."
"Oh, and grandmother wants you to visit.." However, I had dropped the phone, and her voice sounded so far away.

My head pounded, as I opened my eyes, this time light hitting them harshly. Street lamps, shining down right where I was, and contrasting the dark night sky. 'Night? But it was just morning...' I adjusted myself, however when I set my hand on the sidewalk,
My hand was set in something sticky. Something warm.

My nose started to itch, as I looked over at what I had set my hand in. What I saw made the air around me drop one hundred degrees. My hand was sitting in a pool of blood, making the sidewalk gleam under the street light. As I looked closer, I saw I was covered in it, my pants, my shirt, my hair. I could now feeling it on my face, which I am sure was white as a bed sheet.

I scanned the area, my eyes grabbing hold of something but I only wish they hadn't. A hand, then an arm, then the whole body. Same bite marks are before, same dead eyes, only this time her mouth was open in a silent scream. I looks into her eyes, seeing nothing but empty horror, as my own where filled with tears. This was the principal of the local highschool.

I did what I knew. I jumped right up to my feet in a panic, my hands shaking like a paint mixer, as I scanned my surroundings. Street, however empty street. I could barely read the name on the sign, muttering it aloud as I thought. 'Mildew... Mildew.. Wait, that is near where Gram lives!' A burst of energy hit me as that fact went though my mind, like something to hold on to. I was almost near someone I loved.

I took off as fast as my shaky legs would take me, the dull street lamps like stars leading the way, until I soon made it though the wooded path and up the driveway. My grandmother lived deep in the wooded back parts of town, however refused to move when we asked, or even say why. Now I was glad that she did, now I had someone to tell about what I just saw.

My fist pounded on the oak door to her home, my breaths coming in gasps by now as shock set in. "Faelan, I have been waiting for you to come see me," I heard the raspy voice say as the door creaked open, "and look. You got your first kill too." She grinned a toothless grin.
"F-f-irst kill?!" I spat, my eyes wide with confusion, but she just chuckled. "Yes my dear, it's about time. Eighteen long years since it happened last, and now your time is here."
"What are you talking about? I knew you where old, but I thin-"
"I am talking about you!" She waggled her finger at me, before pointing at the moon. "Your a lupin. A werewolf, a wild blood. Your meant to run free and wild. But dear, your time is just starting...."
With that, the gramma I knew started to laugh, as the moon seemed to pules and pull me closer. I was the wolf. I killed those people. I was the wolf, this whole time.

"I was the wolf... I was the wolf this whole time" I sang, my head rocking back and forth as I slowly came to. I leaned back and hit myself against the white walls, feeling nothing but padding. My eyes soon fell on a window, with people looking in. "I was the wolf! I killed her off!" I shouted, a grin worth of a wolf planted on my face, as I started to laugh.
"Oh no, not 'gain. Beth, go get the needle. She thinks she is a wolf again."

"Again... That same dream? Well, I guess that is why she Is here. No wonder too."

"I was the wolf, I killed them all!"

Thunk.
And the world was dark once more.
