Chapter-5

Jasmine  was a very pampered kid. She wanted people to behave  according to her. She talk to Arjun whenever she wants, she was not ready to meet him or even not ready to talk to him over a phone call. She was enjoying this relationship on her own conditions and Arjun was doing everything for her happiness.

Her whole day used to pass in sleeping and her night used to  pass in chatting with Arjun. This routine of sleepless nights were causing health issues to Arjun but still he ignored it because all he wanted is the quality time with Jasmine.

Whenever Arjun asked her to meet him she used to say,"Bina kaam ke ghar se bahar nikalna galat baat hoti hai" or"I am busy aaj"or "aaj ghar or guest aane waale hain" and blah blah.

This was the biggest reason behind their fights. Arjun wanted to spend his time with her. On the top of that, Jasmine used to compare Arjun with Robin and this infuriated Arjun more.

Jasmine  once clearly said she still miss Robin. But covered up by saying that she love Arjun. This was getting on Arjun's nerves. If Kudrat would not have been there, Arjun and Jasmine's relationship was almost at its end.

Kudrat was the one who always helped Arjun in calming his anger. Kudrat never told Arjun but she too was worried for his relationship with Jasmine. She tried her best to keep him calm because she  guessed that Jasmine is immature and she will not be able to keep their relationship smooth. Arjun will have to behave maturely. But till when Kudrat will be able to manage this. Everyday she prayed for Arjun and Jasmine's happiness but little she know that God has different plans for them.

It was month of February and Chandigarh's atmosphere was at its best. After all it was MONTH OF LOVE. Everyone was drowned in symphony of love and Kudrat was in her books.

Arjun was that one person in Kudrat's life,  she never wanted to give upon. Kudrat had many friends but Arjun was way more special. He was always there for her whenever she needed someone and vice versa.

There Kudrat  was the only person in Arjun's life other than his parents he could count on. Be any happy or sad moment,  Arjun always share it with Kudrat.

Jasmine knew about Kudrat and initially she was okay with it, but as time passed she started getting jealous of her.She asked Arjun not to talk to any girl except her. She used to go out with her male friends but was not ready to meet Arjun and on the top of that she was asking him to stop talking to any girl.

Kudrat tried her best to keep their relationship working but thread of Jasmine and Arjun's relationship was stretched beyond limit and finally the day came which Kudrat always dreaded.

Valentine's week started and Arjun planned surprise for Jasmine but as usual Jasmine refused to meet him by making  irrelevant excuses and arguments. Neither she wanted to meet him nor she was letting him enter in her personal life. She wanted to control Arjun but at the same time wanted to live her life on her own terms and conditions.

She never missed any attempt to compare Robin and Arjun and today also she said  she want some time alone as she was missing Robin.

That was it Arjun and Jasmine had a huge fight. Arjun had enough of her.

" I don't know what you want. You want to control me, my life. You want everything on your conditions. I was yours but you were never mine. You never let me enter in your life. It was always about you.What about me Jasmine ?main kahan hu? You know what, I am over with you. You never respected me. I was just a replacement for Robin. I was just a toy who can chat with you whenever you feel bored. It is almost 2 months of our relationship and we haven't met yet. I don't know what is problem with you but whatever it is. Keep it with you. You know what, I am done with you. Its over. Good bye" Arjun's last text to Jasmine said.

And after that he switched off his phone. He was hell angry but dangerously calm. He was not letting his anger out. He called Kudrat from his landline but she didn't pick his call as it was 2 am and Kudrat's phone was on silent mode.

Arjun was trying again and again but his calls remain unanswered. He wanted someone to share his pain. His parents were out of station for a month and no one was there for him to share his pain at the moment.

He switched on his phone and sent texts to Kudrat.

"Ek message tak karna zaruri nahin samjha Jasmine ne" Arjun smiled sadly as Jasmine haven't responded to his last measage.

Kudrat's slumber broke at 4. She was not feeling good. She was sweating badly in the chilly night of  mid February. She checked her phone and her heartbeat stopped. 20 miss calls and 35 messages from Arjun.

She didn't read messages and called him straight away but her call remain unanswered. She tried again but no response. She panicked and read the messages. After reading messages she was afraid that what if Arjun had done something to himself. She knew that his parents were not at home.

This time she called on his  landline and after 3 rings someone picked the call.

"Hello Arjun"Kudrat said.

"Hanji Kudrat di. Main Bunty" Arjun's servant Bunty  answered the call.

"Bunty. Arjun kithe  aa??Theek ae o?(where is Arjun? Is he okay?)"Kudrat asked.

"Hanji. O ta sutte paye ne apne kamre ch(yes. He is sleeping in his room)"Bunty said.

"Okay"Kudrat said and hanged up.

Kudrat know that Arjun was not okay. She know Arjun very well. She wanted to run to his home right now but she know she can't. What she will say to her parents? Where is she going at this time?
