Dylan's POV:

Tonight, I am taking Thomas on a date. Our FIRST date. I don't know if I should be excited or nervous. Well, I'm a bit both. Right now, I'm making sure I look really good for Thomas. Presentation is everything.

I picked up the velvet box from my dresser and put it in my back pocket.

"Dylan, are you ready for your date?" My mom asked, opening the door.

"Ya, but I feel like I'm forgetting something," I said.

"Like what, honey?" My mom asked.

"I don't know. I have the ring, but what else?" I said.

"What about a flower?" My mom suggested.

"A flower!" I yelled, "thanks mom! I gotta go. Love you!"

I grabbed my keys and ran out the door to my car.

"Ok. Where could I find a flower around here?" I asked myself, "grocery store!"

I drove to the store and ran to the florist.

"May I help you, sir?" The lady behind the desk asked.

"Yes you can. Do you have a single white rose?" I asked.

"Yes we do," she turned around and grabbed the flower for me. "And who is the lovely lady?"

"Oh... ummm... she is actually a he..." I said awkwardly.

"Oh. I'm so sorry. So who's the lucky GUY," she asked.

"His name is, Thomas and is the best thing that's ever happened to me," I said, dreamingly.

She gave me the rose and said, "go get him."

"I will," I said, smiling.

I ran out of the store and into my car. I then raced to Thomas' house.

After 10 minutes, I reached Thomas' house. I grabbed my flower and got out of the car. I walked up to the front door and knocked on the door. I put the flower behind my back. I heard someone coming towards the door.

"Ok Dylan, this is the moment you've been waiting for," I said to myself.

Thomas answered the door; he was cuter than ever!

"Hey Dylan," Thomas said, in his beautiful accent.

"Hey. I got something for you," I said smirking.

"What is it?" Thomas asked excitedly.

I moved my hand away from my back to show the rose.

"Dylan... I love it," he said taking the flower.

"Ready to go?" I asked.

"Yep," he replied.

He closed the door and followed me to my car. I opened his door for him.

"What a gentleman," he said giggling.

I ran to my side of the car and got in.

"So... where are we going?" Thomas asked.

"Surprise," I said staring at the road.

"I hate surprises!" He said whining.

"I know," I said smiling.

*Skipping to the date*

We were having a picnic at sunset. Cliché. I know. But, still romantic.

Thomas' head was on my lap and, I, of course was playing with his hair.

"Dylan, this has been the best night ever," Thomas said.

"Same," I replied to him.

"I love you," Thomas said quietly.

"I love you, too," I said.

We sat in a comfortable silence for a minute.

"Hey, I got something else for you," I said.

He picked his head up and looked REALLY excited, "really! What is it?"

I pulled out the velvet box.

"Thomas, you are the most important person to me. I have never been more in love with someone than I am with you. You mean the world to me. If I ever lost you, I wouldn't know what to do. Thomas, you are beautiful, funny, amazing, and over all, mine. I will NEVER let you go," I opened the box and pulled out the ring, "so, will you except this promise ring and be my boyfriend forever?"

Thomas was crying joy tears. He threw his arms around my neck and continued crying.

After 2 minutes, he pulled away and nodded his head vigorously. I put the ring on his finger and kissed him passionately on the lips.

We broke the kiss and pressed our foreheads together.

"I love you, Tommy," I said.

"I love you too, Dylan."
