We all pray, that one day, we will be someone, someone who saves someone else, someone who helps people, someone who we are comfortable being, and sometimes, someones prayer, gets answered.
October 12, 2015-Dakota Good- Lancaster Ohio 6:46 a.m.
"Mom, do I have to go to school today?" Dakota said, rubbing his eyes while walking down his hallway. "Yes, you do." His mother, Tammy, darted at him. Dakota sat down on the couch, next to his mother. "Are you driving me, or am I walking to the bus stop?" Dakota asked calmly. She stood up and stretched. "Yea, I'll drive you." She said as she started walking out the door, to start the car. As she left, Dakota went into the kitchen, and got a glass of Cherry 7up and sat down at the table to drink it. His mother came in the house and stopped at the top of the stairs. "Dakota! Get dressed you have ten minutes!" Dakota sat down his cup, and ran into his room. He opened his drawer and strugglingly put on some clothes, deodorant, and cologne. He grabbed his phone off of his bed, zoomed out of his room closing the door. He ran into the bathroom and turned on the sink, he started brushing his hair and his teeth. After brushing everything, he ran into the living room, where his mother was waiting. They both walked out of the front door, and he walked to the car as his mom locked the door. As he walked to the car, a girl, who he had never seen before waved at him, from behind his car, walking the other direction. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He shivered in excitement. His mom started walking to the car, and they got in at the same time. She turned on the car and started driving to bus stop. As the got up to the main street a car came speeding down towards them. The cars hit front ends, and the strangers car flipped over Dakota's, and landed in the yard next to the road. Dakota and his mother were thrown to the side, while spinning, Dakota's door flew open, and He was shot out into the road. His face skid across the road, taking off skin, and grinding bone. His mother was thrown into the passenger seat, breaking her arm in two places. After the car stopped spinning, Tammy sat up slowly. She saw her sons body in front of her, a blood trail leading to him. She gathered a breath. "Noooooo, Dakota!, Oh God noo!" She called out of the door, and fell to the ground, as she started crawling towards him, he moved. She stopped in shock. Dakota lifted his face off the road. His muscle started to reform, and his flesh reattached, after a few seconds, he was perfectly normal, as if nothing ever happened. He stood up, and looked over at his mom, who was frozen in fear. He ran over to her and helped her up. With tears in their eyes they walked to the other side of the road, with soft, green grass. He sat her down and looked at the other car. An arm was waving out of the upside down vehicle, and he heard a faint cry, like, a baby. He ran to the car and pulled open the door, there was a horrible scratching sound. He grabbed the man, and pulled him out of the car. As the man was crying in pain, Dakota climbed Into the car and grabbed the baby that was wrapped in its seatbelt. He pulled it out to its father, and they held each other dearly. He helped the two to the green grass, Dakota walked back to the wreckage, he saw his phone on the road. He ran over towards it, he picked it up. "Damn." Dakota said as he saw that his phone was cracked. He opened his phone and called the police and told them about the accident. He dropped the phone, and walked over to the others, sitting next to his mother he looked over at the man, wondering why he was in such a hurry. Around 10 minutes had passed when Dakota heard sirens, he looked up, but no one moved. As the ambulance pulled up beside them, two men jumped out of the back. Dakota stood up. "My mother broke her arm! And this man broke his leg, his child has a few cuts but is relatively okay." After a few more minutes, the ambulances drove away, when the ambulance moved out of Dakota's way, he saw a police officer walking toward him. "Good morning son, I'm officer Dixon." The cop said as he stopped in front of Dakota. "Wouldn't really say its a good one, after this are you guys driving to the hospital to question them?" Dakota said brushing of the dust that was sitting on his shoulder. "Yes, but right now, we are gonna ask you some questions." Dakota looked at the man with a worried face, wondering how he was going to explain his experience, and how the others, would explain it as well.
