The room was very dark and Loki couldn't see a thing, all he could see was a dark figure that had a sharp blade to his neck. You leaned in slightly and sniffed whoever it was, you knew that scent from somewhere but you couldn't place it at the moment.
"Don't even think about it" You growled and pinned him against the wall, "Who are you?" You asked grabbing the dagger and throwing it on the floor.
"I was just about to ask you the same thing..." He chuckled.
"My name is none of your business... Why are you in my room?" You asked.
"Ms. Foster says I am to stay in this room" He replied.
You recognized the man's voice; you took a step back, "What's your name?" You asked slowly lowering your sword.
"I require your name first darling" Loki slowly picked up the dagger without you noticing, he looked up at you wondering why you didn't see him pick up the dagger.
"Stop it!" You shouted and raised your sword slightly and rested the tip of it on his abdomen.
Loki waved his hand in front of your face.
You didn't respond, all you did was stand your ground, "Why would Jane let you stay in my room? Who brought you here?" You asked.
"Thor..." Loki said with a slight tone of distastefulness.
"Are you one of Thor's friends? Are you from Asgard?" You asked.
"I live in Asgard but I was not born there" Loki let out a slight growl.
"Where were you born then?" You asked.
"Jotunheim" Loki replied, a smirk growing on his face.
"So you are a Frost Giant? I assumed you would be much bigger? You do not seem like a giant, nothing but the size of a regular man" You said.
"I was born in Jotunhiem and raised in Asgard you foolish human" Loki hissed.
"I am not human, I am of Asgard and I am no fool, you are the fool for coming into my room without knocking" You growled angrily.
Loki suddenly grabbed you and twisted your wrist.
You winced and cried out in pain dropping your sword.
Loki then pinned you against the wall holding his dagger against your neck.
You raised your knee up in between Loki's legs as hard as you possibly could; you heard the man fall to his knees and hold his crouch in pain.
You grabbed the dagger from the man; you grasped his hair tightly and pulled his head back putting the dagger to his neck, "I'll ask you once more, who are you?" You asked.
"I mean you no harm" Loki said sternly.
"Yet you burst into my room without asking and put a blade to my neck, you are certainly a liar" You hissed at him.
"I am to stay here for a while, Jane is letting me stay here" Loki muttered softly, "Besides, it was simply self-defense my lady... Spare me?" He asked.
You removed the blade from his neck and put it in your top dresser drawer, "I will be hanging onto this, I will give it back to you once I've gained your trust" You explained.
Loki slowly nodded and stood turning on the light switch.
The room was now brightly illuminated.
"I am (Y/N)" You introduced yourself before turning around.
Loki stared at you a few moments completely and utterly shocked, "(Y/N)?" Loki asked looking at you devastated.
"Yes, that's my name..." You muttered softly and walked over to your bed and sat down at the edge of the bed.
Loki was lost for words, "H-How? W-W-Where?" Loki managed to slur.
"How long are you going to be staying with us?" You asked.
"U-Um... I'm not sure..." Loki mumbled.
"Well... You can sleep on the floor..." You said before standing up and opening your door walking out of the room, you walked up to Jane.
Jane looked at you curiously, she was very sad that Thor had gone back to Asgard.
"Why didn't you tell me this man was staying with us? Who is he?" You asked.
"Thor's brother Loki..." Jane muttered softly, "I'm not too thrilled about him staying here but I promised Thor I'd protect him..." Jane huffed.
"I-It can't be..." You mumbled, "N-No... It's not... What does he look like?" You asked.
"Emerald green eyes, scrony man, no muscles, long black hair that's been slicked back, evil grin on his face all the time... Loki's a jerk! He's evil, manipulative, cold-hearted killer" Jane growled angrily.
"My Loki is not a killer, he is a sweet, loving man, yes he has a bit of anger issues but he is no killer nor is he a manipulative jerk" You said sternly.
"He brought on The war of New York, he tried killing all The Avengers, all he wants is to be king, he tried killing his brother, he even tried to kill Odin, he's a monster!" Jane said.
"He's not a monster!" You screamed as tears clouded in your eyes.
"Well he may have been like that then... But he isn't now..." Jane sighed and took a deep breath walking away.
You quickly wiped your tears that managed to stream down your cheeks; you took a deep breath and walked into your bedroom.
"Why were you and Jane fighting?" Loki asked, he had taken some blankets out of the linen closet and had made a small bed on the floor beside yours.
You were silent and just got into bed, "I'm going to sleep..." You mumbled getting snuggled under the covers.
"It's only 6 o'clock" Loki muttered softly and just shrugged turning the lights out and laying down on the hard cold floor, he huffed trying to get comfortable but couldn't. You ignored him and just tried your best to get to sleep.
Later that night
Loki continuously tossed and turned but couldn't get to sleep, he sat up and huffed. Loki heard sobbing coming from under the blankets, he quietly got up and walked over to the other side of the bed and slowly lifted the sheets. You were covering your head sobbing quietly; you heard the floor creak, "W-Who's there?" You asked sniffling.
"Why are you crying my lady?" Loki asked.
You quickly backed away and hid under the covers again, "I miss someone very dear to me that I will never see again... It's all my fault..." You sobbed even more.
Loki lifted up the sheets, "I'm sure it's not your fault..." Loki whispered.
You removed the sheets from over your head and sat up, "I murdered a family, stole from them and vandalized their home than burnt it to the ground!" You cried before hiding under the sheets again. "Leave me alone" You mumbled sniffling.
