Brandon hated his job. His head officer had sent him for watch duty on the 47th floor. But that night had been the worst. Brandon usually loved being assigned the lab floor, if he hadn't just had a fight with his brother, Carter. And fighting with your twin is the worst.
Brandon had simply asked Carter to make him a couple of knives that will let him transform into his animal form. But Carter was the good kid. The one that will never get in trouble, he one that is always appreciated.
Brandon didn't like the new uniforms either. Pitch black all the way around. Before his ability, given by the wretched Boss Man, which he was called here. Everyone hated the guy. But Brandon wanted nothing more than to stab him in the chest.
The Wolf is always blood bound.
Brandon thought to himself while watching the empty hallways. His job was simple, protect the hallways from intruders. But recently, Brandon has noticed a change in his companions actions. They are always nervous, always afraid. But Brandon couldn't take it any more.
Brandon decided to apologize to Carter. Brandon looked around for anyone to see if they were watching him, but he was in the very back, near the lab door. Brandon abandoned his post and walked toward his brother, who he knew was doing some silly science-y thing Boss Man told him to do.
Carter had always been the smart one. That's why he was an owl, the one to watch the night. Brandon opened the lab door and walked inside, ignoring the watching eyes of the other scientists in the lab. Carter was the youngest scientist in the lab, and a prodigy is never wasted.
Brandon swerved and dodged the many scientists in lab coats. He was always confused by the lab, there were no beakers or heaters, but rather lots of technology. Glass like table tops would really be large screens and computers. On the outskirts of the lab there were small cubicles where scientists would meet and talk about... stuff Brandon didn't really understand. Carter had tried to explain it to him, but he didn't understand anything his twin had said.
Brandon had almost given up looking when he saw his twin at one of the computer tables, staring intently at the screen. Carter sat there with his white blonde hair and yellowish green eyes standing there in a painfully white lab coat. Under his lab coat, he wore black jeans and a black T-shirt along with black vans. His eyes were focused on the screen, trying to take in every detail of information.
As Brandon walked to his twin, he saw something in his eyes, something he had only seen once: fear. Brandon got to his brother, placing a hand on his shoulder. Carter jumped and looked up at his twin in worry.
Carter's face relaxed when he saw Brandon. Looking at his twin Brandon understood.
Brandon! You're not going to believe what I just found.
Brandon understood immediately. Although they have their disagreements, they knew each other better than anyone else. And Brandon knew it was something not to be overheard when they communicated this way.
What?
One man took out the Boss Man's army.
WHAT!?
Look for yourself.
Brandon turned his attention to the table, and the sight horrified him. On the table was a drone image of a wasteland. Bodies were piled on one another, covered in blood. The trees hung people like drying racks. Brandon wanted to throw up. "Brandon, that's not all. One person did this." Carter said in a whisper.
"WHAT!?" Brandon yelled.
"Keep your voice down! Well, one person did most of this, at least. And I think I know who."
