The light of the day shone into Lucas's bedroom and it gave it a glow as it seemed to bounce off of the white walls around her. She sat on the edge of her bed naked as Clayton continued to sleep underneath the covers. She had never wanted something so badly than last night. She wanted him and she got him.
She bent over and reached out to grab her underwear and her bra which were on the floor. Clayton was special to her. This is the first person that she had cared about this much in a long time. She would lay down her life for his if she had to. He was the one she figured in that moment. Lucas has never felt anything else like this, this emotion that she has for him is beyond comparison with anything else in the world.
When she thought about him, she felt as if she were falling and would never stop falling. There was an excitement in her that she couldn't explain. She was in love. But she would dare not tell him that.
She quietly walked over to her dresser and looked at herself in the mirror as she slowly buttoned up her shirt. She glanced at Clayton who was still asleep on her bed. He looked so cute and so harmless to her. But she has no idea how he got to Woodbury in the first place. Many of the men around his age were off doing runs or they were on the wall around the town protecting it from Walkers.
Her heart fluttered as he rolled over. Was he awake? Did he see her? Her eyes moved to the top of her mirror and saw her sword. It was in its sheath now over the mirror something like a decoration. It was collecting dust as she put it there and has tried to forget about it. She prayed that she would forget about it every night. It reminded her of being on the road, it reminded her of her friends who were probably dead by now. She needed to forget everything about it.
She couldn't be in love with Clayton though she thought to herself as her eyes lowered themselves back in the mirror looking at him on his side. She remembered the way Mitchel acted when he lost his girlfriend, Torri. Love made Mitchel weak. She would be damned if she was about to be weak. But again her eyes found him in the mirror and she wanted to melt every time she saw him.
She shook her head rapidly back and forth, she had to stop this. She needed some fresh air so Lucas walked out of her apartment and onto the streets of Woodbury.
Clayton was awoken by the slam of the door. He wondered if he had done the wrong thing last night. This girl, Lucas , meant alot to him. He didn't have anyone else to call his. Sure, he had friends but they always treated him differently.
He has been a screw up all his life, and he just seemed to be a bigger one now in the end of the world. Somehow, he was kept alive thanks to his stupidity. When Merle and Martinez found him, he was all by himself walking the roads, covered in dig and mud. Clayton had explained to them and the Governor that he had been in three previous groups, each time he had been the soul survivor as he watched his group get torn apart by Walkers.
Two out of those three times were his fault, whether it was leaving his post while he was supposed to be on guard. Or if it was not shooting when he had to shoot. How many Walkers has he killed since day one? Only one. This had happened when he was in the second floor of a house looking for supplies by himself. A lone Walkers approached him and he accidentally pushed it down the stairs and the Walker landed on its head, sending blood onto the polished oak floor boards.
He was afraid of the Walkers, nearly like everyone else. But he just chose not to kill them, he would rather run. Afterall; he certainly wasn't built like a fighter. Standing 5 foot 9 inches, straight black hair that covered his eyes at some points during the day. He was thin and didn't weigh over 130 pounds. He didn't have an eating problem, in fact, he ate nearly all the time and should be much bigger than he is currently.
