Prologue

Alexander's perspective

I frantically pack my bags and run out of the hotel. The hotel where I trained to be a great alpha, at least that's what Peter said to me.

Alpha camp is a rather interesting step in my life and I really enjoyed learning how to become an amazing Alpha. Just listening to all the retired alphas who took their time in teaching us alphas with no parents to do so.

I will forever be grateful to them all. Especially Peter. He is my father's old best-alpha friend and he taught me everything I need to know. He even told me how alphas tend to be more overprotective of our mates.

I can't wait to meet mine. She will be beautiful I just know it!

My beta and delta came in an SUV to pick me up. I was jumping up and down in my seat just thinking about how much fun it will be to be alpha.

Ten minuets later.

We pull up just outside the pack house and an intriguing smell erupts into my nose. I breath more just to get enough of it.
My delta eyes me weirdly and smiles at someone out the window.

The smell of forest fruits and cinnamon fill my nose again but stronger and I hear a small voice at my delta's window.

"Dad, your back already."

I stare over to see a small girl no older than nine with two older boys beside her, most likely brothers of hers. She has black hair, pale skin and the brightest eyes I think I have ever seen. The weren't like her father's or two brothers' and they were bright purple. As I saw her mother approach, they weren't her eyes either.

"Hello sweat pea." Tristan ,the delta, said back, looking to his daughter lovingly.

She was wearing a short sleeved black top with a pug face on it and some shorts that came to her knees.

Tristan left the car and picked his daughter up. He planted a kiss on her cheek and I felt rather jealous. A small low growl rumbled through my throat.

My delta looks at me and I send a short glare. I send him a mind link after noticing how quiet my wolf has been.

'Tristan, I think your daughter is my mate, my wolf has been really quiet and she smells Devine.'

Tristan widens his eyes and growls. I smile at the small girl.

"Hello there, I am the alpha. My name is Alexander but call me Alex when no one is around." She smiled at me.

"My name is Cecilia but call me Cecily when no one is around. That is my brother Owen-" she points to the shorter one "- and that is Tyler." She points to the tall one and they both bow.

"Alpha." They say in sinc. I smile at them and they smile -kindof- back.

"Tristan, may I have a word with you in private please?" I say to my delta. He gives me an angry look.

"Yes Alpha." He says through his gritted teeth. He follows me until we are out of ear shot.

"So, my 8 year old daughter is your mate!? I don't approve! She is still a child." I raised my hand.

"I am doing the mate promise. This doesn't happen often. I just need a human sacrifice. If you don't know what it is, it will keep me the same agar until she shifts. She will shift at 16. Until then, I will remain her best friend. Deal? You just need to find me a human sacrifice." He looked at me with a defeated look. He can't say no to his alpha.

"Yes alpha."

So I left and walked back to my little 8 year old mate, Cecilia.

Cecilia...
