Warm, constant breaths tickled my cheeks as I slowly awakened the next morning, opening my still tired eyes slightly to see that Steven's face was only centimeters away from mine. A smile tugged at the end of my lips at the feeling of both his arms wrapped protectively around me, holding us together so that our chests were almost touching.
My hand reached up to let my fingers gently stroke his cheek before leaning forward to kid the side of his lips. He looked so peaceful with his eyes lightly fluttered shut and his lips slightly parted.
The room was so quiet as I nuzzled my face into to crook of Steven's neck. Then, I faintly made out the sound of the TV echoing through the house, implying that both Emmie and Caiden were awake.
All I wanted to do was enjoy the peace that surrounded me that morning, to enjoy the feeling of being in Steven's warm embrace. So that's what I did. My eyes glanced at the clock to see that it was only six in the morning, making me wonder why Emmie was awake until I concluded that Caiden must've woken her up.
I had almost drifted back off into a deep sleep once again when suddenly, Steven's grip around me tightened, and his legs began lightly kicking around under the sheets.
"Steven?" I whispered, bringing my hand the his shoulder, rubbing up and down his arms. "Steven, wake up."
I sat up, using both of my arms to gently shake Steven until he finally shot up in bed, looking around frantically until his eyes locked with mine. "Oh Lauren, thank god," he whispered, immediately wrapping his arms around me.
"What's wrong?" I asked pulling away to look at him. "Bad dream"
He nodded while looking down before responding by saying, "Yeah, you could call it that."
I leaned forward, placing my hand on his shoulder and connecting our lips soon after. One of his hands then snaked around my waist, the other coming up to cup my cheek in his hand. Every moment reassured me that it was real, that I was in love with Steven Yeun, and he was in love with me.
"Are you kissing in there?" Caiden's voiced called out from the hallway.
Both Steven and I let out chuckles and looked towards the closed door. "Not anymore," I replied, stifling my laughter. "You can come in CJ."
The doorknob then turned, Caiden walking in and jumping up on the bed. He was still in his pajamas with a messy bed head that looked exactly like Steven's.
Like father like son.
"I'm hungry," he stated, playing with his fingers. "Emmie tried making me pancakes, but they caught on fire."
Both Steven and I's jaws dropped at his statement. "Fire?!" I asked.
"Don't worry, everything's okay," CJ clarified. "Emmie put it out, but what I'm asking is could you make us pancakes?"
Steven ruffled CJ's messy hair. "Sure bud."

°•°Emmie's POV°•°
I could feel the anger radiating off of my school principal as he stared at me, waiting for dad to arrive.
I should've been at set filming with the rest of the cast, but apparently my grades were slipping so I had to film in just the afternoons instead of all day.
My eyes glanced up at the principal, immediately staring back down at my lap after seeing his narrowed eyes that were directed towards me.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and dad came rushing in. "I'm so sorry I took so long to get here. I had to come from work." I noticed him glare down at me out of the corner of his eye, giving me an angry look.
