He left me. Permanently.
He's not coming back. Never.

That thought is stuck on my mind as the memories came flashing back.

All those little suprises, short hugs, small kisses,
deep conversations and funny arguments. All those little things he left are the only ones I can hold onto. And this piece of paper with his last words.

January 27 20XX

Kira-chan, aishiteru. Be strong, take care of my kagami, you know how important it is to me. I am sorry..

Forgive me.

And him..

I read out loud with his voice in my mind.

Baka. You should have left me a book full of your words..

I bit my lip, my tears threatened to fall out.

If a person loves, the person must bear the risk of hatred and pain.

But what if that pain will be the cause of a new love?

I still don't know..

Should I continue to dwell in the past?

Or

Should I face the fact that I have to go on with my life, with or without him?

You'll understand all of these as I tell you about the story that had different beginning.

It all started on the day of his burial. My Kage's burial..

Only a few people went, which shocked me. Kage's a really friendly guy.. probably his parents didn't know who to invite. Speaking about his parents, I haven't seen them around too much..

I went out early 'cause his burial, is one thing I wouldn't want to see.

With his wish for me to take care his mirror, I went to find it.

His mirror, I gave it to him on his 18th birthday, his reflection is something he loves more than me, and each mirror, he cherishes.

I smiled bitterly at the distant memory.

I ran off to his house, I'm sure it was just a few blocks away. 'Till I heard a dog barking, I turned around and saw it was chasing me, I shouted and tried to run faster,

I took my shoes off as I entered the house. It was terribly quiet, only the sound of my foot-steps was heard in the house.

I closed my eyes when I clutched his doorknob.

It was oddly warm.

I twisted the knob and slowly pushed the door open.

Then, my heart dropped.

I found a guy on his bed, looking exactly like him! The only difference is that he dyed his hair blond and sported a side-swept hairstyle.

He can't be Kage! He's dead!

The guy turned to look at me, with a very familiar, heart-melting smile.

"How are you?" He purred, sitting straight. His playful voice echoing in my ears.

He sounds like Kage..

No.. that can't be...

I saw a bundle of flowers around the corner, and threw them at him.

He dodged them effortlessly.

I was bad at aiming anyways.

"Those were lilies, right?" He asked as he smiled sadly. "You're still in time for my burial you know, just leave them on my grave."

I shot him a glare and swung a bat at him.

It was just lying at the corner, and it's a potential weapon, okay?

He immediately snatched the bat from me.

"How much do you want me dead? I could just go back you know." He said sadly and enveloped me in a hug.

"I'm sorry.."

"Baka!" I pulled away and smacked his head.

He pouted. "Hey! I just had this dyed and styled in purgatory, don't mess it up..."

I scanned the room, looking for his mirror.

"You're looking for this?" He asked, holding up his mirror.

"Kage... is that you?"

He stared at his reflection and smiled. "Yep, I'm back from the dead."
