RWBY: a Romance With Thorns (Old)

Chapter one: one of those days

Hello people I am Gamer or you can call me "J" I'm still a little new to this, so if there is and spelling errors just ignore them because I'm pretty sure I got most of them. but I hope you enjoy, this one is a bit short but I am not lying when I say chapter 2 is a lot more of a read.

-Chapter 1: One of those days

"Wow" said the redheaded girl as she stepped out of the taxi with her luggage at hand. She stood there for a moment staring at the massive crowd and a rather over sized school "some of these buildings are as big as a skyscraper" She thought. The tallest one had the words, "Welcome to Beacon University" on a giant sign right above the entrance. In her amazement the girl started walking toward the school.

She snapped out of her trance when she heard the taxi cab driver yelling from behind her. "HEY MISSY! YOU STILL OWE ME THIRTY BUCKS!" realizing she almost committed a crime on her first day of school grounds she backtracked, pulling two really wrinkled twenties out of her pocket.

"Sorry and don't call me missy the names Ruby. also keep the change" she said handing the driver the money with a smile.

"Well Ruby, it's not like I'll be seeing you anytime soon.." and he drove off.

"Hey!' Ruby a little flustered by the drivers rudeness, she began to walk toward the school while maneuvering through the crowd and mumbling curse words under her breath not really looking where she was going, she walked straight into person and let out a loud "oomph" and fell on her rump.

The person unmoved by Ruby simply looked down at her and outstretched his hand and asked "Are you alright?" in response Ruby took his hand and was swiftly pulled to her feet, with the man still looking at her with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, yes I'm fine, I'm really sorry for walking into you"

the man just smiled and said"No,no you are not at fault here, I should have been paying more attention to my surroundings" and turned around and walked off into the crowd of people before Ruby could ask who he was or where the dorms are.

After about an hour of walking and lugging her bags around Ruby found a tree to sit under, she sat down and put face in her lags "This place is huge. How am I going to to find Yang or the dorms?" she thought to herself on the edge of crying. She let out an "eeeek" when she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder. When she jumped up and turned to see who it was, a blond girl with a wide grin wearing a yellow tank top and grey cargo pants sat there staring Ruby.

"YANG!?" Ruby yelled trying to recover from the mini heartattack her sister just gave her. Yang stood up and gave sister a huge bear hug.

"How ya been Ruby?" she asked

"Good... Yang... but you're killing meee."

"Oh right!" said Yang as she let go of Ruby and laughed a little while rubbing the back of her head.

The two girls sat back down under the tree trying to catch up with each other. Until Yang realized she forgot something which Ruby guessed was more important than her sister. She got up and hugged her sister and ran off. "Dammit! I still have no idea where to go!" Ruby yelled out.

Ruby finally found the dorms but the sky was already dark. She walked up and down the halls looking for her room when she realized she wasn't looking at the right piece of paper when she had gotten yelled at by large boy with orangeish hair and bird tattoo on his chest , "Do you know what time it is? you little pipsqueak" and after like a hundred "sorry's" from Ruby and a door slammed in her face, she found the right paper and number and lugged her bags which she'd been carrying all day.

When she finally arrived at the room she knocked twice and waited and then continued to knock. After the a thousandth knock the door opened and a rather sleepy looking brunette with a bow in her hair and jet black pajamas stood in the doorway looking down at Ruby. "Can I help you?" the girl asked and all Ruby could say was. "Roommates... heavy bags... sleepy." The girl nodded and let Ruby in and went back to sleep without another word. Ruby just dropped her bag at the foot of her bed and flopped down on it and fell straight to sleep.

Ruby awoke to find herself in a different position she had fallen asleep in, although she is prone to moving quite a bit in her sleep. But how did she get this way? Then she realized that someone was watching her, she looked up at the brunette on the other side of the room staring at Ruby over the top of her book that was in her hands.

She moved the book to the side. "Sorry, I thought you might get sick if you weren't under the blanket. I like to keep the room at a chilly temperature," Ruby got up and walked over to the girl, shuddering because she had just noticed how cold the room really was.

"It's alright and thank you. My name is Ruby Rose." The girl raised an eyebrow and smiled

"Ruby that's a very interesting name, mine's Blake, Blake Belladonna."

"Wow! mine might be interesting, but yours is really pretty!" With that Blake had a surprised look and had slightly turned a shade of lightish red.

"Thank you, on one has really ever said something like that to me."

and after a moment of silence Ruby had a sudden moment of realization. "Oh shit! I have to go find Yang again."

Blake tilted her head in curiosity, "What?"

"Not what, who! My sister, sorry Blake we'lltalklatergottogo!" said Ruby as she dashed out of the room leaving a very confused Blake alone...
