"Talk to meeeeee!" Dyke whines. I look at him.
"Let me do my work and you do your detention." I hiss back.
"You two. No talking" Mr Aftanas grumbles. I scowl at his back but carry on with my work.
"Sir... Why do you look like a monkey?" Dyke asks. I mentally face palm myself.
"That's it. I'm going to talk to the headteacher and when I get back you best be praying for good news cause you won't get it." He growls. I can't help but laugh at what he says but I cover my mouth with my hands quickly and don't look away from my computer. The sound of a door slamming makes me jump and flinch. I carry on typing.
"Why are you always ill?" Dyke asks. My fingers pause mid air.
"What do you mean?" I hesitantly reply.
"Well that is why you are here, because you have missed loads of lessons due to being ill." He says as if I'm stupid.
"Weak immune system?" I suggest not able to tell him the real truth.
"I don't think so... Is it cause you are anorexic?" He asks. I freeze,
"You think I'm anorexic just cause I'm skinny." I state pissed off.
"No I think you are anorexic cause you never eat during school." He replies.
"I don't know whether to be disturbed or not that you notice my eating habits." I try changing subjects but he picks up on it.
"Just answer with the truth" he sounds annoyed.
"Who gives a shit about the truth when lies are so much better." I mumble a line that my sister used to tell me.
"Although that sounds like a good theory the truth makes life interesting." He tells me. I shake my head,
"Whatever. I am going to carry on with my work because unlike you some people want to go somewhere in life." I mutter and start typing again. Loud thunder sounds outside followed by the loud noise of rain. "Shit." I whisper. I ignore the rain and carry on typing. Looking at the time I notice that I need to leave. I save and log off before grabbing my bag and walking towards the door. I pull the handle down but it doesn't go. "Shit" I say much louder and try again.
"Why did you break it?" Dyke groans.
"I didn't it is locked." I gasp.
"What?" He shouts and jumps up and walks to the door. He tries the handle and starts shaking it before a loud clanking noise fills the room. Dyke turns to face me a guilty look on his face and the door handle in his hands no longer on the door.
"You are an idiot." I hiss and slap him.
"Oh come on Lou... At least you are locked with me and not a teacher. I'm sure Mr Aftanas will be back later and will let us out." He tells me. I look at him,
"This is all your fault." I remind him and chuck my bag on the floor before lying my head on top of it.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"I feel light headed, I just need to lie down for a min considering that I now can't go to medical." I grumble annoyed.
"You should eat more. Anorexia is a serious thing and if you starve yourself to draw attention it only gives the bad kind." He tells me. I let out a sigh and close my eyes.
