HELPING the GRIMM REAPER

Cries, whimpers, yelps for help to escape the looming darkness that awaits them. Which is why we should start more no kill animal shelters. One of the many reasons why we should start more no kill animal shelters is that animals being held in normal regular shelters are just trapped there waiting for death. Could you imagine? Being held in a dark, cold, iron cage, and watching people pass you by? Yet as you wine and cry, stirring in you small prison. No one even giving you a second glance. So you sit and wait...and wait...and wait for what seems like centuries. One day you catch a mans attention, thinking he may help you to escape, you walk to him while he holds you cage door open. He picks you up and takes you to a small room with strange objects all around. He's back standing next you with his large hind on you back pinning you to the counter he points a strange object towards your fur covered skin, fear plagues your mind as the sharp object punctures your skin. Death... This was just a small short story on what may happen to these innocent animals and what they may feel. And keeping these animals in a cage waiting for death? Is just wrong.

Some people say we shouldn't have no kill shelters because there is not enough money. However no kill shelters could really benefit our community. By strays not running around on the street there will be less gardens being dug up and less trashcans tipped over and scavenged from, along with trash being strung along your street or yard. Also people will be more willing to drop off pets at a shelter if they know they won't be killed. And shelters should have at least enough money to go by because not killing the impounded creature will cut down on Euthanasia cost. Money will not be a problem.

A shelter is not a shelter with this abundant killing. However I understand that some animals just have to be put down because of sickness or other things. There is also the fact that sometimes there is not enough room in shelters. So, some people will just abandon animals somewhere else anyway. But if we create enough no kill animal shelters, space should not be a problem. About 5 million cats and dogs die every single year because of the fact that there is no one to take them in. I know that some people can't care for them anymore. However, if we all banded together we could make a difference in this world and make a huge difference. If we all make little differences in our world we could create a huge change in these creature's lives and we could give them some place just to feel safe and comfort. And by making these changes we could create multiple shelters across the globe and we all could put an end to this suffering and there will be enough space to house these animals.

Hopefully, after reading this you will consider donating something to a local no kill shelter, adopt an animal, or even just spreading the word would help. These are living creatures we are dealing with they have feelings and animals just like us. So, just to give you a little review on all of my reasons for an animal shelter they are; The animals are just waiting to be killed, opening more no kill animal shelters would benefit our community, a shelter is not a shelter with killings, and last but no least not putting animals down will cut down on Euthanasia cost. Putting an animal down may not be painful to them but it's still taking the lives of innocent creatures who can't help that they ended up in a shelter. Lets face facts, what if our homeless shelters had some people that stayed longer than others just because they have no where else to go? But do we kill them? I think not! This is what's happening to these animals every single day and no one gives a second thought. So what will you do? Will you try to save the lives of those who have done no wrong to deserve such a fate? Or will you just ignore their cries for help? After reading this, I hope you will change on how you view these animals lives and how much they deserve a life. I also hope you consider fighting for these animal's lives and maybe adopting a few of your own that's right for you.
