PROLOGUE
Long ago, before anyone can remember, or cares to remember, all worlds were connected by the great Sky Bridge, magic and machine collided and melded, melting into one*. Steampunk. And in the center of it all was the world of Vermillion. But one day the path was broken. The Sky Bridge fell, some said it was the gods, others said meddling scientists. After the Sky Bridge collapsed- the worlds were silent. For all on the Left side of Existance- the days of Dragons and Heros were over. The worlds, the races, even the creations split.
In Existance there are the Creations, there can be Existance without Creation, but there can never be Creation without Existance. And at the Egde of Existance, for there is an edge to it, is Darkness. It is, but it does not Exist. It be's but it rejects Existance, wants to destory it.
It wishes to bring the Gathering Dark.
*note: Vermillion is in-between the Right and the Let halves of Existance making it a kind of border-world. However only humans exist- some seemingly long lost half-breed, but that is a tale for the rest of the story.
