The Announcement

I was in complete disbelief. After I was teleported, saying only "If you die in the game, you will die in real life." everyone screamed in outrage, even i joined in "that's insane, you can't keep us here!" I yelled out, only to be silenced by others. "As you can see" he said, opening his menu, "The logout button is gone" we all open our menu's to confirm this" the only way to logout is to clear all one hundred levels and beat the final boss." he said. " Also, I gave you a gift, please check you're inventories" I open my menu, go into my inventory and see it.

Suddenly, my boyish features disappear, my short brown hair turns into medium blonde, my over-exaggerated muscles disappeared leaving just skin on my bones, my skin the color of snow, how? i really liked that avatar. I see everyone turn into what the looked like IRL. In fact, I started chucking because of all the conflict between parties because a guy dressed as a girl. I stop immediately, the gravity of what he said sinks in and my mind wanders, if I don't survive I won't see yakashi, my baby sister again. I'll never be able to see her grow up, get a drivers license, maybe even learn to cook.

Kayaba vanished. The force fields keeping us in went with him, everyone except the bandana-kid, joined by the black haired kid, near the front of the spawn area, a redheaded girl. I couldn't see their faces, but i'm sure they had the same looks as me, one of complete defeat. I sat down, wincing when I noticed how hard the ground was. I looked towards the black-haired kid, saw him start to turn his head, looking at the bandana-kid. I expected him to have a face of defeat, no doubt what is on mine. Instead I see the opposite. His face is determined. he probably hasn't realized what just happened. The black haired kid started walking, followed by the redhead. Maybe they can give me pointers I think and start following them. I hear them talking when i'm about to round the corner.

" All the Exp and quests around the town will be gone soon. I'm going to the next town over, will you come with me?" The black-haired says to the bandana kid.

"Sorry Kirito,i'm meeting up with some people from another game" The bandana kid says back. Kirito, huh? I've seen wierder usernames.

"ok Klein, stay alive" Kirito says back

Kirito makes a good point, I should head for the next town over. I start walking, following Kirito, when I bump into Klein.

" Hey, watch where your going!"

"Sorry, it was an accident" I mumble back,

Klein keeps going and I start following Kirito. I will survive, I will not die, and by god, I will fight.
