It was a dark summer night and the blood red moon was full, my best friend Ted had gone missing the night before. I was contemplating possibilities of what might have happened to him when suddenly I froze in terror when I heard a scratch at my closet door, I felt the blood-curdling scream build up in my throat, then it came out "MOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDD! HELP!" I heard their feet pounding down the hall I heard dads louder then moms, because his feet are bigger. They started pounding on the door they couldn't open the door it must have gotten jammed again, "David, just stay calm don't worry we'll be right there!" They're lying im going to die it going to come out and get me. "CRAAAACCKK!" the door burst open and the one who broke it ran towards me.
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhh, Dad its coming its coming!" I screamed, but it was my dad who broke through the bedroom door not the monster through my closet door. "Shhhhhh, David, its okay, nothings there." He said as he cradled me in his big, strong which seemed as gentle as a fairies touch. Mom was also on the bed next to me. "There's no such thing as monsters." My mother whispered as she gently rested her forehead upon mine. She rubbed my head with her placid hand, "C'mon, avid David u can sleep with mom and dad tonight." She kissed my forehead to confirm my skeptical thought about whether or not she was serious. "Oh yea?" I passed, "well if monsters aren't real whet happened to Ted?" Dad rolled his eyes." You lost him in this abyss of a room we've been telling you to clean all week."
As we started to head out my room I tripped over something sticking out from under my bed. "Dad." I whimpered as I pointed at what ever it was that was under my bed, and my dad stepped over there while I hesitated to slowly tip-toe over to him next to the bed. When he pulled out the fiend that dared to trip me I gaped. "Ted!" "See," mom said, " he was in your room the whole time." My face lit up with an abhor smile, "You found him! Yay, its Ted!" as I was celebrating my dad looked over towards my mom with a concerned face. "He's getting a little old for his teddies bear I mean he's already 7 years old, isn't it time he move on?" Mom agreed with him, reluctantly, but agreed. "David, we need to talk."
"So you see your a little too old for teddy now." "Mooom, I love Ted I'm never getting rid of him." I argued, Ted is my best friend he was my only friend when kids picked on me at school. "David," Dawes obviously concerned," its not... uh... natural... for kids your age to still have a teddy bear." "Jack!" mom scolded him she knew that what dad just said would make me super, self-conscious. "Fine Genevieve, I'm going to go by him a toy suitable for his age." Dad stomped out the room, ashamed by his defeat. "Mom," I heard the sound in my voice that told I was about to cry," am I... unnatural?" Mom cursed under her breath. "No David, your a perfectly normal kid, that nobody could ever dislike." "W-well, w-w-what ab-b-bout d-dad, and th-th-the k-k-kids at sch-co-ool." I was bawling I tried to hold it back but couldn't. "Its okay David your dad loves you and you have lots of friends at school." Mom said," Just... yawn... go to sleep" my mom was yawning. And I laid down next to her and fell asleep next to her, unknowing of what will happen soon.
