Alright. So this is gonna be fun huh? First time doing historical fiction- nice. Anyway, this roleplay is about the witches of Salem, and basically all of the drama and hysteria of it's mystery. In case some of you aren't too familiar with the Witch Trials, it was back in the time of America's first 13 colonies. There was a town called Salem, that was somewhere near Massachusetts. One day, it was discovered that some of the young girls there were having "fits" (sort freaking out and going insane and having spasms and such). Of course everyone was wondering what had caused this. When the girls came to, they started spreading rumors that a witch's spector (a ghostly image of the witch) had been pinching and torturing them.
This obviously caused panic among the town, and that was when the accusations began. Fingers were being pointed all over, and names were being called- no matter how preposterous it sounded. They had to be safe right? So, all of the accused would be sent to court to go on trial. If their pleas and arguments weren't good enough, they'd be executed on grounds of magic-using, witchcraft, and bewitching others. This wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for the allowances of mercy. If you were on trial, and you named someone else who may be guilty, they'd let you go. So of course anyone who was accused instantly became desperate and was willing to put anyone at risk just to save their own souls. So thus a humungous catastrophe broke loose, and soon enough everyone was being accused.
~~~RULES~~~
(awkward because apparently half of my rules got deleted...)
~1: Be nice while outside of character, It is honestly my favorite thing in the world when I meet an extremely polite roleplayer.
~2: PLEASE make your character semi-historically accurate! This is back in the time of the 13 colonies- like older than George Washington. So no modern looking people. I get it if there's a link and the hair or whatever looks modern, but do not specifically tell me that they always wear a tanktop and converse and always have earbuds in. I will just be annoyed with you. If you read this part type "OBEDIENCE" in the beginning of your form so I know just how awesome you are <3
~3: Can we please stack the replies too? Like his the little reply button to send another comment. I don't want a huge spam of replies back and forth for only one roleplay. It's hard to keep track of things, and it's annoying for the people having a conversation elsewhere.
~4: obviously, no perfect characters. This is a witch trial roleplay after all. People should be paranoid, or superstitious, or gossip-crazy. That's the only way word spreads about witches- you know?
~5: HAVE FUN>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> :D
