“...now group yourselves into three. Start here.” Ma’am said, skewering the room with her judging eyes as sharp as steel.
“1.”
“2.”
“3.”
“1.”
“2.”
“Thr—”
“Sorry, I'm late! Please let me in! My parents are gonna kill me!” A pleading voice rang about in the room, in which, made me turn to the slightly cracked door that revealed an astonishing figure of a fallen Adonis. Who is he? Should I ask?
Our current Teacher slapped her forehead with a disgruntled sigh before turning to us, fixing her composure.
“I forgot to tell you kids about the new student, who is more than willing to join us today.” She said through gritted teeth and gave the Adonis a Be-a-good-boy-or-I’ll-kill-you look.
The fallen Adonis gulped but gave us a warm smile that made almost half of the female population faint. I swear, this Adonis look-alike is gonna be the death of me.
“Hi.” He said with a sheepish smile, showing his teeth but only slightly.
We were all looking curiously at him, as if he was a new creature that emerged from the ground. “Hi.” We answered but all of us were staring at him like owls.
“I’m Horton Vans. Nice to meet you.” He then bowed after his introduction, his eyes covered by his long bangs, adding brevity to his deep gaze.
Our Teacher gave him an icy glare that made the rest of us shiver.
"Tell me, Mr. Vans. What made you late on your first day? Hmm?" she said. Her tone was scary and harsh.
"I stopped by the clinic to treat my wound." he said and showed us his knee, which was bloody and rashed.
Oh my God! It looks...painful. Wait. Did he say 'Vans'? OMG! That's our current Teacher's last name! Yeah, I know. 'Late Reaction'. Haha. Yeah...
"Ok, then. Please take that seat." T. Vans said. Camly, I might add.
Following her index finger, I found the spot I would most likely rather protect with all I can. The chair to my right.
"Yes, Ma'am." was the Ado-I mean, Horton's reply.
He sat next to me and the moment our shoulders brush for a bit, my heart tried to leap out of my chest. If you were in the same situation as mine, how would you react?
"Now, find a partner." as soon as that was said, Yarina and Gendi both turned to me with 'Be-my-parter-for-this' looks. In which, is simply one of the hardest decisions for me to make.
Out of nowhere, an arm slung around my shoulder that made me follow the trace until I made eye-contact with Horton. His face was sooooo close to mine. One wrong move and our lips would touch.
"Be my partner or else..." he whispered, his voice was threatening.
Involuntarily, I gulped and nodded then turned to Yarina and Gendi, giving them an 'I'm-so-sorry' look. Yarina smirked and gave me a thumbs up while Gendi gave me a knowing look. Their reactions made me shrug.
"Oh, yeah..." I diverted my attention back to Horton. Why did he choose me? There are others that are more capable of being his partner. Why me? "...what's your name? You probably knew mine already." he said.
"Um, my name-my name-my name is, uh, Karelisa. Karelisa Justice." I answered.
Oh my goggles! He smells gooood. Hey! I'm not a slut! He just...smells nice.
He suddenly stood up, causing me to flinch.
"Yes, Mr. Vans?"
"Um, what's the task? I mean, what are we gonna do?" he asked.
"Hmm...you'll find make a project that fits 'My Green Clean Way'." was T. Vans' reply.
Oh freaking fudge...
