She looked around her dark room with teary eyes, before she poured more of the polar ice down her throat, barley even noticing the burning feeling.

She messily ripped the sweat and tear soaked blanket from her body, and slowly pushed herself onto her feet.

She stumbled once she was standing on the cold hardwood floor, and barley took a step before her legs gave out, sending her whole body painfully onto the floor with a thud.

"Fuck," she mumbled, grabbing at her knotty brown hair.

"Abbey?!" her mom yelled, worry in her voice, "Are you okay?"

"Shut up!" She yelled back, to which her mom didn't respond.

She poured more liquid down her throat, until the bottle was empty.

"I just fucking bought this," she whispered angrily, before whipping the glass bottle at the wall, glass shattering, going everywhere.

"Abigail?!" Her mom yelled, and Abbey cringed. "Honey-"

"My name is not Abigail, you fucking bitch!" She screamed loudly at her Mom, before putting her head between her hands.

All she could think about was him; that fucking asshole and how he always called her Abigail.

She let out a scream of frustration, smashing her small fist down on the picture of them on her nightstand, breaking it into hundreds of little pieces, and cutting her hand.

Abbey's mom ran up the stairs at this sound, she didn't understand what was happening.

She pounded on Abbey's door, before ripping it open.

"Abigail!" She gasped at the smell of the alcohol and cigarettes, looking down at Abbey on the floor.

Her brown hair was knotted, her eyes were red and mascara smudged from the crying, and blood was slowly dripping from her clenched fist.

"that's not my fucking name!" Abbey screamed, grabbing the flower filled vase from her nightstand, and flinging it across the room at her Mom.

Her Mom screamed, the vase just barley missing her. "Abbey, please, stop!" She begged.

"Fuck you." Abbey spat.

Abbey's mom frowned, before she slowly made her way across abbey's room until she sat beside her, except on the bed.

She could see the floor was covered in glass and blood, but she decided not to yell.

"Abbey, you need to take a shower." She said quietly, and Abbey stared at her, tears pouring out of her blue eyes.

She shook her head no slowly, a sob escaping her lips.

Her Mom bit her lip, before she reached down, and slipped her arm under Abbey's knees, and the other behind her back, before she stood.

Abbey fought her all the way down the hallway, screaming and crying, punching her, but she was drunk, and already weak. She had no choice but to let her Mom do what she wanted.

Abbeys Mom sat her down in the tub, then turned the shower on so warm water poured out, mixing with Abbey's tears and blood.

Puke poured from Abbey's lips, and her Mom rubbed her back until she finished not caring about the water that was now soaking her sweater.

She then slowly peeled abbey out of her sweater, and her PJ pants, leaving her with just her underwear and bra.

Abbey's mom then started to pull the glass from her hand with tweezers, and then she cleaned the wound with rubbing alcohol and bandaged it, while Abbey just laid there, crying.

Her mom kissed Abbey's forehead, and then grabbed a sponge and poured her favorite blueberry soap onto it.

She gently washed Abbey's whole body, except for the parts she wouldn't dare touch on a 16 year old girl, and then she soaked her knotty hair in the same soap.

"Abbey, I'm going to go clean your room up, okay?" She said quietly, standing up from the side of the tub.

Abbey didn't respond, she just stared at nothing and cried.

Abbey's mom spent an hour cleaning up all of the glass and blood, then she made her bed with new bedding, and then she took all of the glass things from Abbey's nightstand and dresser, leaving them in her own room.

She returned to Abbey, who had surprisingly washed her own hair out, and helped her dry off, then put new clothes on, and then she carried her back to bed, where she curled up into a ball, being swallowed by her emotions.
