The Dreams

How can one thing be so pure and so evil at the same time?

The Dreams are two sides of the same coin

The Dreams nurture me and love me to no end

The Dreams are unshakable, like a tree with its roots deep in the ground

The Dreams support me when I have fallen into the deepest shadow

The Dreams pick me back up and help me believe I can conquer any mountain that I may face

The Dreams believe in me no matter what

The Dreams care

I love the dreams

The Dreams also lie

The Dreams deceive me

The Dreams are never as good as they may seem

They throw me into the darkest depths of my imprisoned mind

I am a puppet to my dreams

I move and act only the way they want me too

They ensnare me and whisper in my ear little lies

They make me their pet

What are these dreams? You may ask

Not what.

Who.

The Dreams are you.
