Learning how to read will help a person understand school work, read cook books, and learn to read music. Learning to read was the best thing you could ever learn.
School work if you want to do your school work right then you have to know how to read. If you don't know how to read then how are you going to read the directions to the problem. The rules you need to know and act in the class room.
Cook books, when you want to cook something but, you don't know how to read the directions to the recipe on what you want to cook then you have to know how to read.
Reading music is important too, the only way to play music is by reading music. If you don't know how to read music then you can't play the piece of music right.
Learning to read is an important thing to learn because reading will be there the rest of your life.
