Ree woke up feeling like everything was just a huge twisted nightmare. Her family got into a stupid car crash and fell to the unknowing depths of the cliff, a few weeks after was their burial with the attendance of the whole town, and days later Aunt Tasia called saying that she need to move out from Salem to New York. Which by the way is on the other side of the continent. She stretched her arms outward and Bruce jumped to her bed and cuddled her leaving a huge smile on Ream's beautiful lips. She petted her dog and said, "Good luck for me". She got up and prepared for her first day of school. Literally her first day of school. She looked at her reflection with no sign of optimism or sadness. She is plain, she taught. But at the back of her mind she knew better. Because the truth is she will never be. She is never an ordinary. She knew that for 16 years. 16 years at a quiet, peaceful house at a little town of Salem. 16 years of puzzling why her younger brother can live normally but she can't. 16 years of reading books about different places but never taught of going to that place. She once taught of being a traveler but as her mum said "You are. You can be anything my sweet little dreamer. Just don't rush" and with those words she know she can be anything. She knows that she is special. She knows that she'll get whatever she wants. A tear escaped her eye as the memories flooded to her like some sort of a movie. She wiped the tear off and looked back at her reflection. No emotions at all. She wears a simple pink floral dress down to her knees with simple sandals. It's what she wears whenever they have some family gatherings. The dress is simple. She must have look fragile and innocent but she still has that strong and wise aura all over her.

"Ream!!!", her aunt shouted leaving her annoyed. Her dad or Mum never shouted to her. She slowly left her polka dot pink room and went down a series of stairs with Bruce tailing behind her. Her Aunt sat on a velvet chair at the edge of a long dining table. She took her seat beside her. Bruce sat on his own velvet dog seat with a bowl of dog food beside it. " Don't shout the next time you'll call me", she said slicing the steak. Her Aunt flip another page of the newspaper she's reading and said, "Oh. Dear, Don't ever think of using your Power on me." She said and stared into Ream's eyes, "I know better". Ream's eyebrows curved in curiosity and questions. My powers? I guess she means psychology. She smirked ignoring her Aunts presence but her aunt just dropped her newspaper and stared to her and asked, "Haven't I told you about your powers?" Ream swallowed her steak and started slicing another. "Nope. All you said is about school" She said as she sipped her hot chocolate. "Well, I'd better start explaining" her aunt said as she drank a glass of wine. "Please, don't be shocked or try to run away" her aunt said with a pity sound in her voice. That stirred up Ream's mind. She's full of pity voices since her family died. And she doesn't even treats this one as a part of it. "Spill it. Now." She said dropping her steak and crossed her arms. Her voice doesn't have the sound of temper. More of with authority and demand.

"A perfect mixture of the Travis and the Hinton family", her aunt smirked as Ream stamped her feet impatiently. "I never play games, Tasia" she said with ease in her voice but with a hint of rebellion. "Oh how I love people calling me by my first name! And because of that I'll show you something!", she stood up with excitement and warm smiles. But Ream just followed in a bored and serious expression. Bruce, as loyal as ever followed Ream. Her aunt kept telling old folk tales but to Ream's ears they were memories. They entered a hallway full of portraits. They all look like some sort of fairy to her eyes. They entered a huge door being hid by a huge portrait of a young lady who looked like her. Except with the eyes. The young lady got green eyes but with her familiar gold flecks. Her aunt touched the frame and she pushed the picture and it revealed a door. Ream can smell an array of weird. Spices? The scent was both sweet and strong. Both wild and smooth. The room was dark until her eyes adjusted to the brightness and saw a portrait of a beautiful lady. She can notice the resemblance between the lady and herself. Except that her hair looked wild and darker. Her eyes got brighter. She was wearing a long white silk dress that revealed her soft skin. She has delicate wings attached on her back and she's sitting on a Crescent moon. But as she was mesmerized by the portrait she saw it moved. Her eyes still locked at the image feeling curious and powerful? The image turned to her and stood up from the moon. She went walked to her. Ream felt her calling and was drawed to it. And in a blink she was in her world. The woman's dress slowly turned to black. And her face slowly turned to a crow as she reached her hand to Ream. Ream felt terrified and decided to shout but no voice escaped. She felt like running out but her body froze. She can feel darkness luring all over her. And she stared straight to the woman's eyes and realized. The woman was her. "Deíte tin alítheia!!!" her aunt shouted as she grabbed Ream's hand away from the portrait. Ream blinked and realized she was back to normal. "What just happened?" she asked holding her head. She didn't dare to look back to the portrait again. "What did you saw, Ream?" her aunt asked her ignoring her question. "A lady in white who looked like me. The lady was full of light until she steeped down from the moon she was sitting and her image started to change" she said panting with eyes wide open. "Look at it again" her aunt demanded "NO!" she wouldn't dare but she peeked at it and saw another image. The lady was still her. But wearing a dark shiny black dress and mask. She sighed in confusion. "Just explain. Please" her aunt smirked hearing her defiance. "Clearly, you already realized that the lady in that portrait is you", Ream nodded as Tasia continued, "Thanks to my rebellious sister who lived the life of Romeo and Juliet with your dad. You are the result of light and darkness an--'' "So what am I?" she sat on the nearest velvet chair she saw. "A witch, a fairy, a vampire, a hybrid, a werewolf. As your mom said that you can be everything." Ream nodded obediently. "If your mom ever told you about a frame story just treat yourself as one of the main characters of another frame because everyday will be a new story for you to tell."
