The salty water crawled down my face and body, leaving the only evidence of my presence on the concrete floors. The black water suit I was wearing was tight and uncomfortable, but it did the job, allowing the darkness envelop me. Letting out a soundless breath I moved quickly between the mini village of a mansion that stood tall on this island. I made my way around corners without a hitch; my silhouette whizzing by and behind guards as quietly as possible. Everything was going according to plan or at least it was until Sunday Bloody Sunday rang out from my side, cutting through the eerie silence.
Well this should get interesting
In panic, I scrambled with the zipper of my water proof pocket, quickly answering the call.
"Sweetie, do you mind getting some more milk from the store? We ran out." My mom yelled into the phone nearly breaking my ear drum.
With the phone held up to my ear, I slowly crept up against the wall, even going as much as going on my tippy toes to press myself into the shadows as much as possible.
Don't get caught don't get caught..., I chanted in my head.
"Sure mom, just let me...," I cursed as one of the men began approaching me at a fast pace. "Hold that thought."
Quickly slipping my phone back in my pocket, my body automatically ducked down to a squat, swinging my leg into the back of his knees and flipping the henchman on his back with a thud. With a few wheezes, he surprisingly got up quickly and began to swing his fists at me...
Are his eyes closed?...you're kidding me right?
Considering he was now fighting back blindly(literally), I lifted up my own fists to my face and swiftly dodged and sidestepped his throws.
Picking up his reasonably steady flow of wild combinations, I followed his form with narrowed eyes counting in my head.
Left jab, right hook, left double jab, right upper cut, two steps back, left right double jab, left jab, right hook, Now!
Holding my head still, I blocked off his punch only to take a step forward and jab him in the face. The cross between a groan and a gasp came out of his mouth before he tried to lunge and punch me back. I let my body fall back onto my hands low enough that I ducked his fist and kicked off the ground to cross my legs I spun around on my toes and jumped last minute, kicking him in the face knocking him out on to the floor in seconds.
I stood there with a triumph smile on my face before remembering my mom. Grabbing my phone, I checked to see if she was still there.
"Hello?" I said still moving forward into the computer room.
It was pretty techno in there with all of them new laptops and other do hickeys. Wires of all different colors laced the walls and the ceiling. Jake should have came. He would have loved this. (And understand it all)
"Yes, so you'll get it?" She asks not the least bit fazed with what just happened or what she had heard.
But then again why would she? She knew what I did and that I was good at it. I mean I was the best young female spy and a lot better then most of the adult spies as well. It was normal for her to hear me kicking butt on every mission and that was okay.
"Yep, love you mom." Before I hung up I heard what sounded like a good luck.
Okay back to work mode
I put a flash drive in one of the computers and placed a Bluetooth in my ear that was already connected with Jake, my trusty friend and computer genius back at head quarters, as i waited for it to boot up.
"Okay I'm in. What do I look for?" Instead of Jake's deep mellow voice, static met my ears.
This place must be bugged
With a curse, I slipped it back into my pocket and looked back at the laptop.
Okay lets see here
A log in bar sat in the middle of the screen and as my eyes ran over the words username and password, I could feel a migraine coming on.
After countless tries, like his birthday, middle name, and stupid random words that he would have put, I decided to type in my last and final hope.
Username: Kalian_Dboss Password: 1234
With a smile I pressed enter and watched with amazement as the access granted bold green letters flashed on to the screen. I shook my head at the genius work of a mastermind that had to be stopped before he ruined the world. I scoffed under my breath.
Criminal my ass
Humming to a song in my head, I quickly opened up the flash drive's settings and controls on to the screen before clicking enter. I watched it flash and flutter with boredom as it copied every single thing on its hard drive spinning in the office chair.
Checkmate
The flash was almost ready to take.
My spidey senses tingled (Not really) and as I listened closely, there was no doubt that the rest of his security was making its way but the sound of there heavy footsteps. I quickly checked the computer and pulled out the flash drive; my finger pressed the power button with so much speed the flash would be proud.
Making sure that there was no evidence that I was there, I backed out of the room and slunk back into the shadows. Making my way (down town) around the mansion without being seen was just as easy as it was to get in.
Finally near the cliff I jumped up, brought my hands together over my head and dove into the water with as little sound as possible. Learning how to swim fast and hold our breath long was a basic training necessity, which I used expertly to meet up with the floating jet ski not the far away. As soon as I pulled myself out of the water, I was ready to go back to the base and just get home.
"Mission complete. Toy soldier coming home." I spoke into my watch before hoping on to the seat and riding through the waves at a zooming speed.
I sooo need a break
I groaned remember my earlier conversation.
Well I guess it's off to the supermarket
