Shiro looked shocked. Emi had just confessed to him even though she had just said she didn't feel that way earlier. Riven was also shocked by the confession.
"I don't know what to say" Shiro said.
"I know you don't feel the same, but I felt the need to tell you how I feel, just like most of the others have" Emi explained.
"I understand how you feel and thank you for telling me this, but like I told everyone else, I'll choose after we win" he told her.
"That means I still have a chance?" Shiro nodded. She cheered.
"After, though. So let's go," Shiro said, standing up. The other two did the same. They continued on their way down the hall until they reached stairs. "Looks like we found the stairs. I'll call the others." Shiro took out his cell phone and dialed Liliana's number. The phone rang endlessly, with Liliana never answering. "What the hell?"
"Shiro, I'm sure everyone else will be fine. I'm also sure your mother would never let us use our cell phones in here" Riven told him.
"Yeah, you're right. Let's move on then," Shiro suggested. They headed up the stairs and found themselves in a large room with the other groups. "You're all here!"
"It looks like the stairs all lead to the same place. How nice of your mother" Kuroyukihime commented.
"I'm relieved, but what do you think is next for us?" Shiro asked.
"That." Liliana pointed ahead. Shiro looked in the same direction and saw a large demon. It wasn't like the humanoid demons they've fought before, but more like a real demon straight from Hell.
"What the hell is that?" Shiro wondered.
"It's a primitive version of the demons; what they looked like before they evolved into the human-like creatures we know today" Kuroyukihime explained.
"I wonder why my mother even has a demon up in Heaven" Shiro wondered.
"I have a theory, since those creatures went extinct a long time ago" Kuroyukihime said.
"Please explain."
"This is a robotic demon powered by magic," Kuroyukihime explained. "It's blocking our path though so we'll have to dispose of it."
"Sounds good," Shiro agreed, wielding his sword. The others did the same. "Any plans because I doubt we can break through that thing with our swords alone."
"Oniichan, remember the golem? That strategy might work here too" Mitsuki suggested.
"That won't work because it's made of steel rather than stone" Liliana told her.
"We have to get inside of it" Kaede said.
"Do you know how we can do that?" Shiro asked. Kaede shook her head.
"Look there," Emi said, pointing at the robot's mouth. "It looks like we can enter from there."
"Yeah, but look again" Shiro said. Emi noticed as the robot moved, its mouth would open and close rapidly.
"If we can stop it from moving at the right time, then we can not worry about the opening and closing mouth" Kuroyukihime suggested.
"Good idea, but how can we do that? I can try freezing it" Shiro replied.
"I recommend you used in a while. See all this rubble in this room?" Kuroyukihime responded.
'Ah, earth' Shiro thought. He looked around with his right eye, which was now brown. Large rocks throughout the room bombarded the robot's legs, trapping it.
